@LeMeAtOm thanks! most of these shots were less than 2 hours, but the day to nights were longer. typical (good) AA batteries in the camera would last about 8 hours if the display is turned off while shooting.

@Lustikk you can use editing software or a tilt-shift lens to achieve the look. it looks miniature because everything around the edges is very unfocused and blurry and the center object is focused perfectly clear. i guess that this makes it look like a model because when you look at something really close up, the object you look at is very detailed and everything else in your peripheral vision is blurry.

i'm no photography expert, but this is just what i noticed after watching some of these

And this video is just brilliant, brings back all these fantastic memories i have of HCMC. I have a canon A-530 and would love to do the same, but all I've managed is time lapse with chdk (can't find tilt shift)
