i have grown u whith the pumpkins and i just can say that they are part of my life. i really like them. and of course green day has nothing to do with the smashing pumpkins. the difference between them are so huge that i think it´s absurd try to compare those two bands

Thank u, Bato. I love Green Day and The Smashing Pumpkins to death, and, well, both bands are amazing and Epic, and, personally, both are not meant to be compared. Music is for loving, not hating. Frankly, i dislike both bands a bit, like Green Day's first couple of albums, i didn't like them much, but American Idiot was amazing, and so will 21st Century Breakdown. SP was great untill they broke up; they aren;t that great anymore. enyhow, let's all relax and appreciate music the way it is.

Attention SP and Mayonaise fans, there used to be a wicked live video of "Mayonaise" from SD era show on YouTube. It was filmed by a fan and it featured Billy staring directly into the camera at one point. The performance was absolutely smoking; IMO the best I've ever heard/seen. And it's now gone! Anyone know where it went, or what happened to the user who posted it? Any info is much appreciated.

Got to see them in Osaka, Japan around 2004. Small club, conversations with Billy between songs and a friend was invited to sing with Billy while covering "Behind the Wheel" by Depeche Mode after hearing we drove 5 hours and flew half way around the world to see them.  One show never to be forgotten.

You know, it was Billy Corgan that recommended Melissa Auf De Maur to Courtney love as a replacement bassist for Kristen Pfaff who Od'ed and died.

Some say that Courteny Love had something to do with Kristen Pfaff's death.

Anyway, MADM initially declined (probably because CL is a evil bitch IMO). Billy met MADM when she apologized for a friend that threw a beer bottle at a SP concert in Canada.
