Qabala (QBL - Qoph, Beth, Lamed) is Jewish Mysticism. The literal translation is "to receive" (from mouth to ear) which was the Oral Tradition. It was kind of like religious information that was passed down from generation to generation by the priests, but was not written down (at first).
Using the Qabala for mystical experiences is another facet. Lon Milo Duquette (noted scholar on the Qabala and magic in general) described the way it works as studying immensely complex relationships between everything and everything else until you go crazy in a socially acceptable way :-) I don't particularly agree with that appraisal, but it's possible.
Maybe we just think we are separate from God: but all we have to do is to open our eyes and there will be God: I think even to study the Abala is to love God - it is a prayerful activity; even for a Gentile like me??
According to some the thinking that we are separate from God WAS the 'Original Sin' and my current 'knowing' is that when We look there We will find Us.
I agree...the original meaning of sin as use in the scriptures...was "missing the mark" missing the point..which is your God. God and you are one, as Jesus put it in John 10:34. To say that your God is to say you are of the same substance...divine.
Open-mindedness is a somewhat simple concept but sometimes not that easy for some, but I think has rewards that are not at first obvious. At least that's how I've experienced it - so far, and to the degree I have been able to apply it to.
oh ok...so all the info i shared was info that a wise frend of mine shared with me....was this information accurate?...because i was under the impression that the religion had nothing to do with jewdeism and christianity at all...i thot that it was just likt a way of life for a specific peoples at a specific time in history...could u comment me a link on this vid to a site with accurate info on it?
qiiwed, I've put a link to Wikipedia about the Qabalah I was talking about (Hermetic Qabalah). I didn't realize that the spelling with Q, K, or C is supposed to indicate the 3 different forms of Qabalah. Some are sub-groups of the others. See Wikipedia for more.
like most religions because they are so dam contradictory...i mean in that shit fuk of a book, the bible, they tell u like 20 million things that condradict that last 20 million things...i was force fed this garbage and i'm glad for it because it allowed me to see what a load of shit it is...in conclusion, the only religion that was ok with me that i know of is the ORIGINAL qabala
so what i'm saying is that gods are from outer space and they aren't gods they are aliens...this theory is probably the best but will never be accepted by u close minded religious fuks who devote there life to worshiping a cocsuker who, if ur religions are right, is responsible for EVERYTHING on earth INCLUDING DEATH AND SIN...and i dont
death...the introduction of "gods" in religions were all described as white things that came from the sky...this was desscribed by pple all over the world befor e the bible...these pple wood never have seen eachother and also, the myans had described the first gods ans white and they would have never seen a white man in there lives
The bulletin I posted refers to an interview with Joseph Campbell, by Tom Collins called 'Mythic Reflections ...' where Joseph Campbell points out reason why the Bible is not the best guide for model living.

I posted a bulletin on my channel-profile page called 'Meaning of the term "Transcendent" (another term for God)'. I think this might help you a little in regards to Judaism-related beliefs (Jewish, Muslim and Christian) and other beliefs.
Yes, I am speaking of the original QBL however it is currently spelled. That is why I tried to explain where the term Qabala comes from. I don't know much about the 'common one that madonna belongs to', but I'll check it out later when I get some time.
Thank you for sending me the video clips. This video makes only a slight reference to them, but they've kept me quite busy; enlarging my view on things.
Zeitgeist on your front page. I have the movie on dvd. Its interesting but there are a few flaws thru out the whole movie but i think the over all message of critical thinking & peace, love unity as a race is good
And I think Zeitgeist deserves the same application of that idea "critical thinking" to the movie itself. I find the 3 divisions of the movie appealing. I honestly haven't seen part 2 all the way through. The last time I checked there was an Interactive Transcript of Part 1 at the Zeitgeist website (weblinks to support their claims).
Another "Oops". Towards the end of this video I refer to "original Sin" as not being related to "eating from the Tree of Life". I meant to say "Tree of the Knowledge". But this mistake allows you to see in your own Bible where the Tree of Life is mentioned.

It was a little confusing for me. I think you wanted to know more about the Quabala, whatever that is. I don't know anything about the Quabala.

Yes, because the word 'sin' means 'to miss the mark' i.e. to fail to fulfil the true potential of self or situation or relationship.
templemu 3 years ago 2
miss the mark can be abreviated to "mistake" for short which is how ACIM describes "sin" nothing more than a cause for correction.

Would it then be correct to interpret the commandment that says there is only One True God - as that is Me (I actually think of it as We or Us)?

...or open our minds!
