Hey nice video, me question is what would u buy if u use them to travel to school and listen to music at home?? Because noice cancelating sounds great but how strong is it can i still hear traffic like the bus, the police etc?? Please a good answer. Greetings from holland
Ps: I should also add that not a SINGLE Bose speaker system is THX certified (because they sound so bad). Literally they are just marketed so effectively. Just read this: intellexual(dot)net/bose(dot)HTML
If you do your research on any forums that cater to high end sound systems, you'll notice that they despise bose. A recent article I read explains why Bose speakers suck. They use some of the worst rate components, their subwoofer isn't even a real subwoofer, and if you do a blind listening test, most any other speaker will sound better. Bose speakers actually LEAVE OUT a band of sound which you will never hear. Their marketing is top notch, but they don't ever let retailers set up a
Haven't heard the Klipsch yet. So far I like the Bose, Beats is all bass, I would rather hear the entire range of music. When I get a chance I will get my hands on the Klipsh and give an honest opinion. i know they are a reputable brand. They make great home speakers. I see people in school buy beats because everybody has one, which is a stupid reason. I did notice lately bose headphones are growing.
Nice video, but when you use terms like "high quality" it's very relative. When I hear high quality in reference to headphones then I am assuming we are talking about headphones that start at the $1,000 range.
Wow, the video was better than I thought it would be. He didn't say much at all about the sound of the Klipsch, and the descriptions didn't go far beyond words like "good" "better than" and "great", but I feel more informed for having watched this video. Thanks for sharing!
Nice vid bro... Thanx for posting.. I own a pair of souls by ludacris but I hate they pop out so easily.. so since I work out I might go back to a pair of bose... :)
@andros1984 haha same man, or you could go to goodwill and get a receiver for 10 bucks, i did that and im fine running like 500 watts off it. haha klipsch s4 sounds brilliant though, just sayin
i have bose IE2... it's not noise isolating.. the bass output sucks competing to any other noise isolation headphone.. and the volume is freakishly low if u want to get normal sound quality...... i'd go for Beats, Monster has good headphones

This is a real competition? Klipsch all day, Bose is better if you have the money. Beats are just overhyped because Dre's in the name. I just bought 4 pairs of fake beats for the look, they got better quality than the real ones :P
klipsch beat's bose try the klipsch promedia 2.1 and Klipsch Mode M40 Noise Canceling Headphones are the best in the world sound bestbuy has the cheap stuff and old cheap stuff
beats focus all of their money and time into bass, thats it and its only good for hip hop/rap music everything else sounds really poor. the bose i have to say are the most comfortable on because of the design of the ear tips and yes i agree the noise cancellation is terrible. the klipsch in my opinion are the best because they feel great, the cord doesnt tangle very easily the bass is really good for any type of music, and the noise canceling is the best. Klipsch FTW!
I love this video, a smart consumer and I love how you described the potential of headphones with eq. I personally don't like eq, but its the best way to find out the potential of headphones. You should start putting some audiophile earbuds into this.
The klipsch s4 are ass. I'm not an audiophile, but shit...they are heavy on bass and the remaining details of the music just fades away with those buds (even after burning them in for 100+ hrs).
@D1g1Snacks If you're saying that the Klipsch s4's are too bass heavy, then you need to re listen to them because out of all of the headphones mentioned in this video they have the least. They also have the best balance with very clear mids and highs.
@Brizzle293 The Beats sound like ass and so do the S4's. These are not high end, but straight up ass to me. The Bose I can't say anything about since I never tried them. The S4 pales in comparison to my AKG's and Jlab buds. As I said before, I'm not an audiophile, but S4's sound reproduction is no where near as detailed as my other phones/buds. It's muffled to the point where it annoys me and generally heavy on bass to me.
@D1g1Snacks I'm sorry but i just can't agree with on that one. What Jlab headphones have you used...I've used the J6 and I still like the S4's better. I can't speak for the AKG's but still man the Klipsch s4's are solid to me.
@Brizzle293 I've used the J3's (those are so so earbuds to me), but my point being that the S4's can't produce certain frequencies (if that's the correct way to describe it) that I want to hear. For example, I can easily hear an oboist pressing the keys on my AKG's and Jlab buds, but I have to put it on blast just to hear it on my S4's. Hearing the keys being pressed isn't so important, but its just to illustrate the details that the S4's can't produce. It kills the cry of a violin.
As far as earbuds go, these are low end to mid range. Compared to the disposable earbuds Apple includes with their products they are excellent but they are still nothing compared to a high end pair of Shure. But I'm not about to drop $600 on a pair of earbuds so it's the Klipsch s5i for me. Regardless, thanks for the review.
U know to make bass is pretty cheap? you just extend the front thats why the klipch looks longer then the skull candys. Though they look the same.....
If you think that those are high end headphones, you need to do some research before putting your self out there...THEY AREN'T EVEN THE BEST ONES THAT THE COMPANIES OFFER(just the best best buy offers...lol)
I wont2 review these headphones myself but find it impossible being they are all inear phones there are hygeine issues which I can appreciate but at the same time iam the customer so how do you find a compromise "anti-bacterial wipes?" I go to the gym but need my phones both for music and to take calls, I didnt know about the Klipsch but have been considering the Powerbeats & the Bose Mie2i I love my bass but want best phonecall quality especially on the mic which people don't touch on much
These are far from high end earphones. The beats and bose have horrid muddy bass and lack of detailed highs. The klipsch would be the best of the 3 but would be considered entry level for an audiophile. Dont fall innto the advertising trap of the bose and beats. Look elsewhere.
Awesome review my man, when it came down to it, your review was the one that edged me in getting the Klipsch S4 over the Bose headphones! You should make more vids bro!
I have the klipsch s4i they are really good they blow tours out of the water! The klipsch sound like 200 dollar headphones and will beat out any in ear beats and turbine line except the turbine coppers, which sound a little more cleaner and warmer. Also if you don't like the klipsch s4i the shure se215 are the same price and sound just as good too!
I'm sort of an audiophile and I'm looking for comfortable earphones that are budgeted at around their price.
So many people recommended the Klipsch S4 and I was wondering if it was REALLY the best for its price? I have the sony bass headphones which are really bulky but the sound is amazing. Now i would like earphones that i could play drums with and carry around with me.
Nicely done, young brotha'! Keep up the nice work with the reviews. I appreciate what you've done here. I agree, Klipschs are the bomb! I've had Bose and others and have spent a lot of money on so many headphones and earbuds. Admittedly, I'm a bit of an audiophile. I finally discovered the Klipschs and fell in love!
I've got the Beats and the Bose. Both do not sound realistic. Way too much bass at the Bose, way too much bass and highs at the Beats. But the Beats sound better than the Bose because the bass is "faster" and there are highs (the Bose do not realls have highs).
If you prefer neutral, realistic sound, you should take the Shure SE 425 (but be carefull: your player's output impedance should not be higher than 0,2 Ohms).
If your player's output impedance is too high, you should take Sennheiser.
as a bestbuy employee you shouldnt have done that did you do you elearnings lol just playing i see them online the sennheiser pxc 450 are not online you think I can buy them in my store and have it ship to the store and i pick it up I also work at bestbuy
ibeats are horrible, the build quality is crap, and the sound is mudded, just a lot of bass not enough highs and average mids... the bose sound better and have way better build quality than the ibeats, and they are the most comfortable out of the three, and the klipsch S4 have the best sound quality, they have great highs, mids and lows, and are more comfortable than the ibests.... but the Bowers & Wilkins C5 blow all of them out of the water....
Your the first video maker I've seen who knows what there reviewing thanks ima go buy me some new headsets got skcy right now there really good on bass but not by much
@borismontoya136 bigger speakers DO mean more bass dude. as long as they're good quality to begin with. why do you think a tuba is lower than a piccolo? cuz it's fuckin huge lol
Why does every fucking reviewer say go out and try them yourselves. Theyr not headphones so they dont have booths for trying them out, and its hard to find people that bother with $100 earbuds
i just got the klipsch image S4and i got to say they sound wonderful but really out of everything that made me soo mad was the fact that they go so far into my ear that they feel like shit ,i have very sensitive ears so idk what to do i think i might return them and buy a pair of bose around the ear headphones.
Dude this video is wack I own the best earphones the ultimate Ears and other similar company's that being said there need's to be more education about true audio technology and specific company's like ultimate ears,sennhiser,M-Audio,and Edirol people should know before they purchase
High end headphones shouldn't have a lot bass. They should have an equally sound image through the entire freq. range. High end Earbuds or IEM should have focused low end, not bass. Bass is made for sub woofers. Not headphones. The Klipsch is a perfect example. With a flat EQ you can tell the entire freq. range is equally sound. Low end is tight, not boomy. I've used "Golden Ears" through my career as an engineer so I hope I can trust my ears. Haha. Good review from a knowledgeable source.
and by the way, monster headphones are very bad and sound awful when compared to what they are supposed to sound like. they are nowhere near accurate and that tickle is not good! Bose and monster headphones are overrated and are not a good deal for their price.
Not all high end headphones have a lot of bass, listen to Etyomics headphones they have an extremely flat response. Headphones that produce a lot of bass usually have flaws in the mids and highs.
I currently have the Klipsch X10i's which are their 350$ pair and still have the same rubber strain relief issue, it splits, they sound incredible but I have had the s4's the s4i's and the x10i's and they all have the rubber strain relief that strip and this is after they had the so called strain relief fix.
Out of those headphones the Klipsch are the best, Ihowever I have owned 4 pairs of the s4's and 2 pairs of the s4i's and got the best buy warranty so I could bring them back if I had issues which I did, there is a rubber strain relief piece that goes to the headphone that no matter what will eventually split, I never bunched my headphones up and pocketed them, I put them in their case, I was always careful and no matter what the rubber ends would split.
@vexun11 The piece split on mine, but I don't have a best buy warranty - don't they come with a manufacturer warranty? I kept my box and everything in it in case I ever needed to send it in. Was that split on the strain relief covered, or did you return them for something else?
@kani9000 Klipsch has a stupid nice balance between Treble and Bass. The bass is highlighted while preserving the treble. Dre Beats just say fuck it to mids and highs and give it all to bass.
You are so wrong, good headphones doesn't necessarily need to product a good amount of bass, such as HD600, all bunch of STAX, the ER4, Westone 4 and so on, they are tuned to not product a lot of bass and have a flat response.
Awesome best buy employee says klipsch is best? Phone, meet the klipsch's gold-plated headphone jack. I think the two of you will get along swimmingly :)
i been thinking bout getting the klipsch but im new to earbuds ive always had headphones and i want some earbuds to hit hard bass because i mainly listen to hip hop and underground. im looking for something under a hundred any suggestions?
Do the klipsch cancel out a lot of noise on like a bus? And do you know if the tour beats are uncomfortable because they go so far in your ear, and do they pop out a lot like the ibeats?
@ELLiOTxGOiNHAM yeh thats not bad. i mean i get super discounts from my job witch is why i get so many headphones but $65 for the beats is a good deal. as long as they're legit i know there are some knock offs out there but i feel like you should be able to get real beats for $65 but if you see some out there for under like $40 thats questionable.
@MrStatusTech Yh there are alot of fakes around, i bought a pair of beats tours off ebay real real cheap but they were fake :\ but these ones i just bought are the ibeats, im not sure if there are fake ibeats going around so they should be legit :)

ibeats are horrible, the build quality is crap, and the sound is mudded, just a lot of bass not enough highs and average mids... the bose sound better and have way better build quality than the ibeats, and they are the most comfortable out of the three, and the klipsch S4 have the best sound quality, they have great highs, mids and lows, and are more comfortable than the ibests.... but the Bowers & Wilkins C5 blow all of them out of the water....
galaman12001 4 months ago
technically the klipsch win so no discussion there, if you like the design go for the beats

get headphones if you want quality sound.
ear buds are just a dumb idea.
want more bass get a bigger speaker.
RobiRoadkill 5 months ago
@RobiRoadkill Some poeple like to have isolation, and bigger speakers dont mean more bass. Derp

your the one whos derping here.
RobiRoadkill 4 months ago
@borismontoya136 bigger speakers DO mean more bass dude. as long as they're good quality to begin with. why do you think a tuba is lower than a piccolo? cuz it's fuckin huge lol
naveenc69 4 months ago
Why does every fucking reviewer say go out and try them yourselves. Theyr not headphones so they dont have booths for trying them out, and its hard to find people that bother with $100 earbuds
GBjapes 5 months ago
i just got the klipsch image S4and i got to say they sound wonderful but really out of everything that made me soo mad was the fact that they go so far into my ear that they feel like shit ,i have very sensitive ears so idk what to do i think i might return them and buy a pair of bose around the ear headphones.

I currently have the Klipsch X10i's which are their 350$ pair and still have the same rubber strain relief issue, it splits, they sound incredible but I have had the s4's the s4i's and the x10i's and they all have the rubber strain relief that strip and this is after they had the so called strain relief fix.
vexun11 6 months ago
Out of those headphones the Klipsch are the best, Ihowever I have owned 4 pairs of the s4's and 2 pairs of the s4i's and got the best buy warranty so I could bring them back if I had issues which I did, there is a rubber strain relief piece that goes to the headphone that no matter what will eventually split, I never bunched my headphones up and pocketed them, I put them in their case, I was always careful and no matter what the rubber ends would split.
vexun11 6 months ago
@vexun11 The piece split on mine, but I don't have a best buy warranty - don't they come with a manufacturer warranty? I kept my box and everything in it in case I ever needed to send it in. Was that split on the strain relief covered, or did you return them for something else?

hey, im confused! bose or klipsch? i love bass..pls do reply
kani9000 6 months ago
@kani9000 Klipsch has a stupid nice balance between Treble and Bass. The bass is highlighted while preserving the treble. Dre Beats just say fuck it to mids and highs and give it all to bass.
ivanmontelongo 6 months ago
@kani9000 klipsch, its pretty basssy but the bose have really good sound quality but are not noise cancelling AT ALL

great video man! very helpful, and after a couple minutes I really valued your opinion
flamesfan417 6 months ago
You are so wrong, good headphones doesn't necessarily need to product a good amount of bass, such as HD600, all bunch of STAX, the ER4, Westone 4 and so on, they are tuned to not product a lot of bass and have a flat response.

is the bose is just "sitting in your ear" you are wearing them wrong. try the larger tip. it should seal perfectly in your ear.

Do the klipsch cancel out a lot of noise on like a bus? And do you know if the tour beats are uncomfortable because they go so far in your ear, and do they pop out a lot like the ibeats?

i just bought a pair of brand new ibeats on ebay for £40! which is like 65 dollars in USA! Thats good isnt it?
ELLiOTxGOiNHAM 10 months ago
@ELLiOTxGOiNHAM yeh thats not bad. i mean i get super discounts from my job witch is why i get so many headphones but $65 for the beats is a good deal. as long as they're legit i know there are some knock offs out there but i feel like you should be able to get real beats for $65 but if you see some out there for under like $40 thats questionable.
MrStatusTech 10 months ago
@MrStatusTech Yh there are alot of fakes around, i bought a pair of beats tours off ebay real real cheap but they were fake :\ but these ones i just bought are the ibeats, im not sure if there are fake ibeats going around so they should be legit :)
