  • is that hayell?

  • are you guys in a apartment??? great video

  • that's more like a derecho

  • Wow i dont have any idea how you guys new it was gone for sure good footage!!!

  • supercell?, 98837? RAINWRAPPED TORNADO!!!

    you stand corrected.

  • hail doesnt meen tornado pearl jam is the greatest band ever

  • oi..your supposed to get away from windows when there's hail, especially that high up

  • sometimes here in chicago,we have tornado warnings.

  • alright, here is where I come in, ever watched any storm chasing videos? when you are next to a tornado, there is absolutely no precipitation in that direct area. precip falls away from a tornado. come on it hails all the time when I hear thunder in the summer time! you don't know anything it seems!

  • I agree in a sence because not in the IMMEDIATE vacinity of a tornado is there precip. But she just means in the area.. And she was right wasn't she? Yes. Reason why most ppl think that is because hail = Rotation. The larger the hail, the stronger the updraft and rotation, hence, larger chance of a tornadic storm.

  • supercell1995 you are gay. we dont need facts retard.

  • in this conversation, facts WERE needed! there has to be a brain around to end a conversation like this one! why call me a retard if I probably know a lot more than you do? look whose the retard! not me!

  • come on.... We hae hail a lot of times here and no tornado anywhere in sight...... I guess you are telling me next time I see hail to get in the nearestcloset. Get real. Now I will say the last time a tornando hit hear here, it was yelloe looking and the rain was going sidways alsot going upward direction

  • Tornado's have updraft, the hail is in the downdraft on the other side of the storm, this means you were in a safe spot. The hail and tornadoes do not mix.

  • No telling whether this video is actually a tornado or not. based on the building you're looking at- they weren't IN the tornado... It didn't go through midtown. But still close enough to be scary as shit.

  • To all of you all posting... just because there is hail does not mean there is a tornado. However, when there is hail and a tornado, the hail comes on the north side of the tornado. So, usually if you're getting hail, you're not going to get the tornado... As the tornado usually falls on the southwestern portion of the storm.

  • Just curious - what was the name of the building you were in while you filmed this?

  • how scary....

i live in east atlanta and the tornado swept over our nieghborhood. my roommate and i took shelter in the linen closet scared but luckily no damage to our house. but a few blocks down others had huge trees in thier roofs or on their cars...

  • you are very lucky the glass didn't break in your room!!

  • Hail does not mean tornado...wth?

  • ya but its most likely during a tornado

  • No, hail can happen with any thunderstorm, but tornadoes are generally rare in nature. Also, when there is a tornado, hail is usually not present around it because the updraft is too strong.

  • ya. i saw some hail during a t-storm a couple times.

  • No it doesn't but usually when it hails it means it's a tornadic storm. Not all the time but most of the time. This time it was a tornado.

  • Um, no, not most of the time. Get your facts right. Im a meteorology major, so i know what I am talking about.

  • Hail is often associated with a tornado, it doesn't mean their will be a tornado but when a tornado is around it is very likely that you will see hail as well, look it up hun, you hear them talking about it in all of the tornado shows, believe me as obsessed with tornados as I am, I've seen alot of shows.

  • Watch as many shows as you like...I am going to school for it. Hail does not mean tornado.

  • Thats true. However if the storm is severe enough to have hail, the conditions are ideal for a tornado to form.

  • beatle11, all thunderstorms produce hail, all thunderstorms, even weak storms with one clap of thunder and then going away can produce hail. I was in portland one time, during the summer, and there was a thunderstorm, it lasted only a little more than a half an hour, and it produced hail larger than marble size. a storm doesn't have to be "severe" just to produce hail. google is your friend buddy

  • Scary fk being in the Dome after that one season it fell in.

  • Glad you guys were alright.
