This car has an identity crisis... it wants to either be a sports wagon, coupe, SUV, or a sedan. Which is it? I don't get why BMW built this car, it seems pointless.
Excellent review Steve, I like the X6 because its such an unique device. Top Gear's review of this machine was disgusting... they absolutely tortured it.

sorry, but i just don't see the point. you've driven both the m5 and x6 m, steve, isn't the m5 actually a better driver's car for similar money? (i'd like an actual reply to this one :P)
looks like a piece of crap with expensive bells and whistles....unfortunately it still looks like crap.

finally a good review , good job. other people think to use the x6 as hauling stuff in the back and try to take it off road.

The M5 is a different animal...V10 power, sedan body. I actually prefer the X6 M. But that's just me...
