this guys footwork is wrong too, he should be stepping behind his right leg with his left leg, instead hes stepping his front. hence him almost falling after the throw..

First of all throwing downward is one when you have a lot of head wind like you get in some parts of the country. Nose down that you throw like this. When you reach back you don't have to reach back as far on some disc because you could miss your intented target to throw at making your whip of the disc awkward. it's all about body control and spin drift of the disc which equals control and accurracy.

Terrible video. You must be using a seriously overstable disc, because anytime you use a backhand throw to drive, you bring it flat across your chest. The only time you'd use a shot like that is for an anhyzer around a tree or something. The fact that you couldn't even hold back your laugh at how bad your shot was should say something...

And nothing beats him looking smugly into the camera after the throw, as if he just produced a 450' drive instead of a 25 footer into the ground. Epic fail dude.

With no context as to what sort of hole you are throwing on, the instructions are a bit odd. Most throws won't have you throwing "down" at all.

I am also wondering about your footwork. your last step with the left foot passes in front of your right. This would normally not be as good as a step that passes behind the right foot. When it goes behind, it naturally pulls the hips, trunk and shoulders back for better torque. Again, without context though, not sure.
