What is the best way to keep the quality of the gif? When you extract the frames from a video, it comes in RGB mode but when it is exported as a gif, it is converted to indexed mode and the quality is usually reduced, however I have seen high quality gifs that don't appear to use the default indexed mode or dithered floyd steinberg.

@AdamCartwrightILoveU The first link is working. Once you get by the ad and finish downloading the GAP, read the "HOW TO INSTALL.txt" file when you open the folder to finish installing the GAP.

@georgieholly You need to upload the gif to a hosting site, like TinyPic or Photobucket. In another tab or window, have Tumblr open. To create the new post on Tumblr, use the Text Post button, NOT the Photo post one. Now go back to where you uploaded your image, and copy the "direct link". Go back to Tumblr and on your post, select "Insert Img". It is the little picture of the tree. After you do that, paste the direct link into the image URL. Click "Insert" and you're done.

@georgieholly there's nothing wrong with your gif, its just your tumblr theme. some tumblr themes don't let you do gif animations so it turns into a jpg. so if u really want the gif to work then u need to find another theme...

For some reason, after I save the gif, it is really, really slow. I did everything in here, to the tee. It looks good in the GIMP program, but in firefox/internet and Windows Preview, it is super slow.
