I drove all the way from south bend, IN to washington, dc. Then from Washington, dc to Myrtle Beach, SC. Then from Myrtle Beach to Indianapolis, IN in the same trip. I spent a total of 36 hours driving alone by myself. 1883 miles. Not fun. Too long.

Usually if it's just me, I'll make sure I have all my favorite cds with me for when I'm tired of what's on the radio. And snacks of course. These days I'd probably live-cast the journey on twitter :-p including pics of weird/random stuff I find at rest stops. If it's with friends or family I'll probably also have a book or two for when I'm not driving.

Talking to flies/bugs in the car is another way to pass the time..........I....guess. haha

The longest trip I've traveled by myself was from Minnesota to Toronto, Ontario for 888. The drive home was 18 hours and I drove it non-stop. Woke up, got ready, checked out of the hotel and was on the road until I got home. Stopped for gas 3 times during the 1,000+ mile trip home and I had to take a detour that sucked. It was a fun ride, I listened to techno, dance, electronica, IDM music the whole way. On a long trip hearing words makes me tired.
