hey that's beautiful sound on triple horn but I wonder..iplayed double horn which play on bass clef if triple horn can play on bass clef or straight to treble clef? because I have spoilt my emborchure on bass clef not treble clef. Any suggestion can I go back start again on treble clef?
@FirstBus27 try practicing free buzzing, it helps a lot with tuning in the treble clef, try just play the highest note you can on whatever instrument you have, as long as you can, just to ease the transition. if that doesn't work consult your teacher/peers
@toomotivated Gee, I wonder why. Maybe it's because John Williams stole everything he wrote from great composers like Rimsky-Korsakov, Beethoven, Mahler, and Stravinsky.
Crap, sorry I clicked on the starts by accident, my mouse was going crazy! Anyways, beautiful! I love finding things like this, I love the lyrical solos just as much as the big screaming ones! :)
Just what every hornist needs, more slides to tune.

@hill460 I believe that's an Alexander 310. It has just the 3 regular valves, but also has 2 thumb valves.

This sounds like john williams' star wars for some reason.
Either way, I love it.

it's not a viennese horn. They have a crooked (rotating) leadpipe off the mouthpiece. Very mellow.

Yeah, it's an Alex triple. And he's playing the solo on the high F side.

The horn on this video is not Vienna horn.
The horn is probably "ALEXANDER MODEL 303",triple horn.
Mr.Wolfgang Gaag was known as a user of triple horn.
