@ArtisDePartiSelle It completely depends on the epoxy. They are not all the same. I use a product called G-flex epoxy which is far more flexible than wood glue...
those trucks won't be worth shit over 20mph fyi if you haven't already found that out.....unless you are very good at downhill and have very good ballance and ankle strength you will eat shit taking that thig at speeds every time.... so beware

@MrRawrRaven if they were normal longboard trucks the kingpin would face outward not inward but on here the kingpin faces inward so i thought they were on backward. We already established that they were on the right way just different trucks
How did u paint the stripes without the paint going under the tape ? im working on my own longboard, but when i want it the stripes arent "clean"..the color goes abit under the tape =( need stronger tape or what is it ? O
YOU ARE AWESOME! I'm french and I love longboarding but dude! you're great! Why don't you sell'em? Or build an enterprise with some friends you could do great things! Respect.
your really good at making boards... im trying to get into the game... ive made two so far... both of baltic birtch and the first one was to flexy...and the second one... well it cracked... any suggestions?
Hello, I have made my longboard using three sheets of 1/4 inch birch plywood. To be clear it is 3/4 inches thick and 41 inches long and 9 inches wide. I am 95 pounds. Should I add fiberglass since it is long?
Where did you get individual plys of wood (veneers)? I've tried Home Depot as well as 3 lumberyards, and none of them carry any types, let alone baltic birch (or maple)
@29BrAaAaAaPeR29 because you don't need fiberglass in most situations. Fiberglass sheets only help hold the board together under extreme flexing. It allows you to build a thinner board with more flex without breaking, which is good for light weight guys. But I weigh 220lbs and all of my decks have plenty of flex for me (yes, I'm fat) and so far, none of them have cracked or broken, so I don't use it.
i made a longboard in my wood shop class. its hella long and pretty flexi. i need to buy trucks for it so does anyone have any ideas for cheap good trucks to buy
I tried making my own and failed the first time.. can u just explain to me what you do to make the curve good and how long u leave it, thats what made me do bad. id really appreciate it thanks.
Where did you get the wood? Because i went to almost three different places and all they had was plywood with filler in between the actual wood so it turned out to be a good board but a bit on the thick side. Is there a store or specific website that you went to to buy solid wood sheets?
@eliaberta If you want to open a board shop (like i do) i would suggest 7 layers of 1/16th in hard rock maple , it makes your boards very sturdy and woth more money,
can you write a link where we can see the connstruction step to build a longboard.. I want to make one but I have no ideas where to starts, the woods to take etc ...
@rcplane56 "Longboard" refers to more than just the size, i.e. the trucks and wheels that are used, the shape, and purpose of the deck, etc. Sector 9 and other companies sell several "longboards" that are as short as 28'' inches... So no, not a "regular" but a longboard.
@jordanlt001 True most people refer to a long board that drops bellow the length of your average skateboard as a "short board" but yes it is a longboard and it loooks AWESOME great job bro

Nice build, the shape of the deck also greatly affects flex, the taper in the large version is probably the main reason for flex
