first year is 1971.and this is a -71

@Deepsr right. ive owned both. ( but only 1 pantera) had a 351c in my wagon, and a w in my 79 ford campervan. wasnt tehre a 351m? ( unless i misread somethign lol. these detomasos are just plain sexy. ) you get the italian sexiness, but using an american powerplant no need to spend money on an italian drivetrain
