The "illusion" is that when viewed from far enough away (like at the end of the video) you first think that the camels are the shadows and that the camels themselves are the shadow. As you zoom in closer (like in the beginning of the video), you realize it's the other way around. The video is flawed, because it should have started zoomed out and THEN zoomed in.

I finally got it. The upclose shot lacks detail so you think the shadow is the camel and the fuzzy camel looks like a shadow. From further away, you can see that it is an aerial shot of the camels with the sun casting a long shadow. No big deal.

The whole point of this was to show how it was reversed and this "simple thing" can trick your mind from a FAR point of view, just like a mirage.
