We were at this concert! I was very impressed with the visuals however, the crowd was kinda lame and the band could feel it. Can't wait to see them in miami---u2 always gets an insane reception here!!!!
All of the decent tickets sold out the first couple of days. So the remaining might be expensive. A lot of people from south america fly to miami to see u2. Thats why the miami shows are always bouncing the entire show. U2 also likes miami beach.
totaly agree! We were in Tampa,s concert. The crowd was "cold". Just compare with U2 opening in Buenos Aires(Argentina)(watch amazing video of the crowd there!!!)

Tampa always seems to have a cold reception -- no matter who the band is ... but our hearts are certainly warm for U2 :)
South American shows are absolutely wonderful though! I saw them in 1998 in Rio and the first night Sao Paulo, and wow, those were freaking incredible! Love Love Love!
@LowLevelHum Do You Think For U2? What Were you Doing That Set You Apart From Being "Lame" From Where I Was The Crowd Everyone Was Having a Amazing Time Far From "Lame" I've Been Going to U2 Shows Since 1988, This Was a Fantastic Show! ...And Even For Floridians It was one of the Hottest Nights, So For People To Have stood In 100 Plus Degree Temps Shows Much Love And Respect For U2 .

The people circling the stage were Amnesty International Volunteers. Can you imagine their view? The boy was random, Bono's done it almost every show. Thanks gatorsam for sharing this with us...so awesome to relive it!!!
The people who circled the stage were either in the (RED) Zone or were Amnesty International volunteers, I don't remember which. I think the kid was random. He's done that in other concerts.
Great Sound quality on this video...can feel the bass! Does anyone know who the kid was or was it just a random pick? Thanks for the UPLOAD now I can show my friends that I was there.
Please check out and join the new Facebook group ... U2 Tampa ...

I was part of the video crew. Got up-close next to stage view. We had to disassemble that bad boy. Took 4 hours. =]

gatorsam 2 years ago

behind every band is a hard working crew, and you've got to be the best of the best.
keep up the great work.

@zodiacdragoon Hell yeah... shitty thing is the company that hired never sent the pay for it. So I did all of it for nothing.

What an amazing and magical moment. This kid's life has peaked!
The song takes on an entirely different meaning, w/ Bono singing it 2 the tot.
