just borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring. one slow dead song after the other all through the album, no matter the movie bombed. it's too bad because diana was at the top of her game 30 yrs ago vocally.

because black people dared to make a big budget A movie that's why! you can't tinker with white middle class values in the western world...jeez, anyone can see that...it was a case of how dare those blacks try something new and wonderful...yes racism was at work here. the movie was great and had great meaning.

Thank you! Many critics of "The Wiz" didn't like and didn't understand the film because they couldn't comprehend it was not a point-by-point remake of the original film & L. Frank Baum story. The original story was used as a launching pad for it to be told from a Black perspective. It was totally different and just as good.
