Scientology shouldn't really qualify as a religion as it does not "bind" people. Judeo-Christian Faiths are a good example of what a religion literally is. They have the idea of using this life as a way of getting to liberation after death. Then you have eastern philosophies such as Buddhism and Taoism that concentrate of liberating oneself alone. Then you get Scientology: Truth is available for all those with money

Scientology is just stupid. I might say that Darth vader is a magical fairy that shoots crappy fireballs that developed into humans. We may get supernatural strength by forcing the fairy lord of azeroth which is a divine forest to appear. The fairy lord will not give you the powers unless you take my course that costs about 10000 dollars. Narurally I won't reveal the darth vader story until you have atleast paid me 9000 dollars. If the fairy lord does not appear you must pay 1000 dollars more.
