@psychotikpaisano Was done because I was having a bugger of a time getting the stock diz to engage fully so I don't have anything to compare it to. I would imagine it is more powerful and smoother given the hotter spark and ability to run a larger plug gap etc, but can't say for sure. The ease of use is great, and to be able to set timing at 3 variable rpm ranges with a volt meter is a plus for fine tuning.

@csedan510 Lol I could spell better than that at 8 years of age, and had already done TONS of work on cars by that age as well. Thank goodness I grew up with a master mechanic and race car driver!
@Snike888 I am indeed, Mazda part # 3953-12-500A. Easy mod, there was a recent "how to" on FJ20.com. Mine "whizzes" a bit until warm up if I run 20/50 oil, when I switched to 5/50 the noise stopped.
@csedan510 did you have to make much adjustments to the Mazda chain pre-tensioner? I recently did the conversion myself and had to grind some metal off it and cut the rubber presser. It fits real tight. This is normal yeah?
You seem to have coil pack ignition am I wrong?

Are you running a Mazda timing chain tensioner? Because my FJ20's chain rattles a bit at low revs...
