What the hell??? I have been cought with an actual pocket knife by my principal and all he did was say, "come get it at the end of the day. I never want to see this again or you're outta here."
This is rediculous, it happened to me at that age but with a cap gun which is more reasonable. It was a keychain and less than 2" long. They threatened me with expulsion and acted like they were doing me a favor letting me stay in that school. You would expect that today but this was 20 years ago!

@darkusbakugan08 lucky you, in my middle/elementary school, any game with standard playing cards was considered gambling, and Yu-gi-oh/Pokemon/etc cards were considered a distraction, or demonic tools of Satan if you went to a Catholic school.

I hate zero tolerance. In my HS there's a rule that says if someone gets in a fight where they're hit they can't touch the other person or they're equally responsible. There was some dude being choked once and he got in trouble for hitting the dude choking him...or so I heard. But nonetheless it's absolutely ridiculous.

In 1997, I had three weeks left of my junior year in high school, and to celebrate, I brought a bottle of St. Julian sparkling grape juice to lunch to drink with my friends. St. Julian comes in a green glass bottle, but contains no alcohol. When I was throwing the bottle away, a lunch monitor saw it & reported me. I was expelled from school for having a drug/alcohol "look-alike". After a week of endless parent meetings and a full-on walkout by my class mates, they let me back in. Zero-tolerance!
