So awesome to see these cars still being driven, especially considering the current state of the WRC it seems that they have gradually been downsizing cars to slow down the speeds, they went from group b to group a to wrc spec which was a modified group a then they went to super 2000 as the wrc cars and now the wrc cars are essentially super 1600 cars with turbochargers on them.

may just be, that it is just fuel overflow. often.. rings denote blue smoke. oil smoke.. quite often a worse sign.. fuel over flow.. well that is just like a vapor out the back. typical on race cars under high g load..

or.. maybe just a vent tube for the transmission as well

Yes, the first car and the one at 2:17 are Lancia Stratos.

At 3:25 I can't quite make it, but it has Alfa Romeo's looks about it. Maybe a 2000 gtv veloce or a Giulia Sprint GTA.
