  • I. LOVE. THIS.!!!!!! We're playing it in an orchestra I'm in. :) I looooove John Williams' music :D

  • If only the movies themselves could be as good as John William's music.

  • This makes me want to go swashbuckling aboard the Jolly Roger.

  • the best peter pan movie ever.

  • You Can Fly, You Can Fight, and You Can AHHHH AHHH OOOOOO

  • Beautiful soundtrack anyway - so magical!!

  • At 0.06 the tune for a few seconds sounds like 'Across the Stars' from Star Wars

  • Bring me Peter Pan!

  • I would pay a large sum to hear John Williams played live in symphony

  • god i love this movie....better than the original story

  • 20 years since the release and i still remember like it was yesterday.

  • @minimalizam009

Same here! Man, I can't believe it.

  • 2:36 and on = childhood

  • Ahh - what it was like to be a kid and to get so into into stories/movies like this. I loved fantasy when i was a kid, and i still do as an adult. The magic never truly leaves us, i think. It's just, as an adult, we have to make the effort to find our childhood again. It's very hard for me to remember how i felt back then. But i know it was a very grand experience, especially by the feelings i get from listening to music like this.

  • @wildone106

He always does that it seems... like Han and leias theme is so similar to the middle "love" section of Indiana Jones :D

  • There's some 'attack of the clones' motif in this theme (0.55), pretty cool!

  • @MuteHelperComments

"Lightning... has just struck my brain."

"That must've hurt." (Or something along those lines... lol.)

  • @MuteHelperComments i think you just gave me an apostrophe

  • @MuteHelperComments Actually the first quote went like this. Smee: I've just had an apostrophe. Hook: I think you mean an epiphany. Smee: Lightning has just struck my brain. Hook: Well that must hurt. :)

  • Pan's back ! PAAAAAAAN !

  • john williams is a god damned genius.....no I am serious, talk about the soundtrack of my youth! home alone, star wars, jurassic park, indiana jones, back to the future and so much more, oh my god John William is a god damned genius.

  • EVERYONE GIVE THIS MOVIE A 10 OUT OF 10 ON IMDB!

  • Great movie and music! Love it!

  • Damn what happened great movie scores, maybe 'cause movies are so soulless & cheap now they don't warrent the great music we had in movies in the 70',80' & 90's. There seems to be two types of movie now, awful looking CGI fests or Rom Coms that are nothing more than witless porno oneliners. Any wonder there is no John Williams for the soulless generation now!

  • I'm flying !..! HaHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • I love this movie! the music in is phenomenal :)

  • haha I'm learning this on piano :D

  • All hail John Williams!

  • @oxDannyBxo

    Amazing composer isn't he!

  • 5 men falls under the power of James Garfio!

  • dios os aseguro que amo esta banda sonora^^

  • Best movie ever made ! And the music is just wonderfull <3

  • when you here john williams music you are instantly back as a child while that music is playing sort of like being hypnotised into feeling like a child again

  • i like the instrumental

  • Thanks John for all your beautiful work!

  • we still have evidence that there are retarded in this world... seek and destroy those 5 who said NO

  • @TheNari2011

You are right. What sort of people would dislike this piece of genius music.

  • John Williams' scores arrrrrrrr great!

  • Such an awesome movie, watched it again yesterday. I'm 21 now and I still enjoy it.

  • A criminally underrated childhood favorite of mine. I remember seeing this one in theaters on my birthday during the holiday season of 91. Such happy memories! This is one of my all time favorite John Williams scores.

  • @TheAltair4

Me too! i saw it in theaters when i was 10, loved it and it rocked.

  • Im so glad Bob Hoskins was added in the painting, he deserves a spot on there , hes a legend.

  • i need to own this movie

  • When it comes to John Williams Classical Music doesen't get much better than this.

  • this score is SO incredibly awesome

  • This film gets better and better. I expect I'll be watching it on repeat over Christmas. And I'm not really a John Williams fan but this score is pure magic.

  • ROFL i knew williams did this sound track..... i just wasnt sure... JOHNNY IS A FUCKIN BEAST!!!!!!!!

  • Can someone tell me why Hollywood doesn't make anymore films like this one?

  • Watching this movie takes me back to my childhood, when anything was possible, and fantasy overcame logical thought. Where movies such as these could absorb me into them and take me on a real adventure with the characters. Where is our neverland, i ask?

  • this seriously make me want to cry lol i miss being a kid and watching this movie all the time

  • Five people are pirates

  • @IronBobcat2278 I don't think they're pirates. As it so happens, I think they're lawyers.

  • 0:06 : Epic french horn aproaching!!!

  • something of an "across the stars" about the beginning.

  • Robbie Williams + Dustin Hoffman + John Williams' music = PERFECT MOVIE

  • Damn right, dude! This movie is the real reason why I became obsessed with Steven Speilberg and John Williams! They are perfect in filmmaking!

    Five stars, man!

  • @MrsPritchard72 plus speilgberg

  • I wonder if all the responses are making SearchingYT crazy.

  • Classic example of soundtrack better than the actual movie.

But I can't help but notice john williams sounds similar.

  • i went to the pics to watch this movie. love the music and the mermaids in this film. obviously i appreciated the mermaids more as i got older, lol!!

  • This critics totally devoured this film, but I love it, and know a lot of people who feel the same. There will never be a better Captain Hook than Dustin Hoffman, with both pathos and a wicked sense of comic timing, and the music is just amazing. Thank-you for uploading this.

  • @justlaxin22 i'm going to hang one of my wall now!!!!

  • amazing

  • I am Peter Pan.

  • This cue pre-dates his Harry Potter scores by a decade, and captures the same magic--- while not "repeating" himself. Majestry and 'swashbuckling' at its finest. Listen to the ambiance of the orchestra and the space it conveys in this recording. Just beautiful.

  • @bostonpiano I think of this piece as the score that the "Harry Potter" scores wanted to be - except maybe for portions of the "Prisoner of Azkaban" soundtrack.

  • Absolutely amazing and spellbinding. This movie was the last of it's kind. It represented the end of the classic, magical Spielberg era. I miss those days so much.

  • It's amazing!! I can't stop listening it

  • I love this song. Thanks so much for posting it. :)

  • I really love this one

  • My god, this piece of music is so beautiful ! John Williams is genius and now I feel bad because I'm a 21 year old grown up man, and I miss being 8

  • CAPTIN! ...... i just had an apoorstrophe..

  • @tinymanthebeast "I think you mean an epiphany"

  • @tinymanthebeast

I think you mean an epiphany.

  • @tinymanthebeast "i think you epiphany" lol

  • Magnificent ! John Williams is GOD !

  • @guyomC75 I thought that was Morgan Freeman...

  • Love Hook so much!! Still have the old video my Grand Parents bought me back in the day (and now DVD of course)! And what an amazing cast. This theme tune is epic.

  • I fell in love with the girl who I hope to marry with this movie playing. This song will always have a very special place in my heart. I know this wont resonate with most people on here but I thought I needed to say something to look back on. A bookmark for life if you will... John Williams work has always been an inspiring part of my life from this to Star Wars and back.. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

  • why are there 5 minutes of silence in this track??

  • @octavianmihailescu

Because we need at least 5 minutes to recover form such epicness ;)

  • I'm in my 30s and I am always thinking about the possibilities. I often day dream about lots of stuff; like life on other planets and traveling through space. Always remain young at heart-that is the key to immortality. This is all a game that as we've gotten older; we forgotten how to play or even that this is a game. or a ride as bill hicks put it

  • Soundtrack is truly immense.

Nostalgia at its best!! Just reminds me of being a kid again :-)

  • The greates composer nowdays.Damn he is good.

  • me 2 @ SearchingYT, but im trying to have a more positive outook nowadays which can be hard when things go shitty

  • I love this soundtrack. I'd been hunning it randomly today and really hoped someone had it here on youtube. Thanks for posting it!

  • @Sinskiman *humming

  • This movie needs to come out on blueray ASAP!

  • John Williams has the power to create truly magical music, which takes you right into the stories. Couple them with a spielberg film and you'll have an unique experience.

  • John Williams has the power to create truly magical music, which takes you right into the stories. Couple them with a spielberg film and you'll have an unique experience.

  • @Sephiroth1984, you're a complete retard, Steven Spielberg has never made a bad movie and probably never will...donkey.

  • @campusman84

Oh really? So you thought "Lost World" wasn't a bad movie, huh?

I actually don't think "Hook" was a completely awful movie. It has some great ideas, but the way it turned out is truly nuts.

  • I try not to think about the movie this music goes with, and I enjoy it a lot. :P

  • Great child-hood classic and Great tune

hard to believe this film is now 19 years old (nearly 20)

  • YOU ARE THE PAN

  • yes

  • yes

  • i've always loved this movie since my childhood, it was really special to me!!!! :)

  • W O N D E R F U L!!! That's giving me goosebumps!!! and looot of good memories!

    thanks!

  • this is a sonata isn't it? i love it! this is my fave hook tune, and this film is definitely one of my favourite of all time!

  • My favorite version of Peter Pan hands down! I like the Disney version, but come on Robin Williams as Peter!!! The soundtrack is awesome too!! John Williams is so talented!

  • @kenobigirliz john williams is on my list of people i wanna meet along with steven spielberg, of course

  • Goosebumps I think is the word. This composition just reminds you of everything that's fun, exciting and magical. Just to be a child.

To live in blissful ignorance and just treat everything like a game. Cause that's what the Lost Boys did in Neverland! (:

  • My favourite theme, makes me feel like I am the pan like I was when I was younger.

  • Hook, one of the all-time best movies. . . so magical.

  • hook rules forever nd its awesome soundtrack

  • Where did this track come from? I just bought the CD off Amazon and this track wasn't on it. There was one with a similar title but it was totally different.

  • Not mine either. I think it was released on a John Williams greatest hits type of album later. I believe it's the music for the end credits.

  • The number one item on my "bucket list" would be to play or conduct this with a professional orchestra. Just thinking about the magic of it brings a tear to my eye :')

The best movie ever needed the best soundtrack ever, and John Williams succeeded!

  • muy grande!!! A genius at work for sure.

  • Ufff, que grande es John Williams !!!!

  • It's very rare that music alone could bring me near to crying. This did it.

Also, it's interesting to note that the screenwriter of this movie, Nick Castle, also wrote and directed "The Boy Who Could Fly".

  • the best film about Peter Pan has always...John Williams is a true genius !!!

  • i love this movie as a kid i would all time during christmas time and i would watch neverending story we would watch that every year during x mas time in grammar school

  • casting was perfect for this movie.

Being a kid was a magical time. everything felt new, fresh, mysterious, and exciting. Now I have to go to work for a living 5 days of the week. too much a routine.

    my friends are boring.

when I was a kid I thought I was a superhero. Now Im just a boring guy who constantly thinks about sex and how much the world sucks

  • lol... Dude, you have no idea how much of what you said made me laugh... You and me both hahaha!

  • lol same

  • @SearchingYT LMAo damn your comment was funny. idk...im 20 now and i still feel the joys and pleasures i did as a young'n...i guess its all in the soul! life is still exciting and interesting...so what...the worlds a fucked up place when you get older and reality SLAPS you across the face with its huge balls...just learn how to duck and dodge those suckers and enjoy every day

  • @NikoProductionz

    Amen to that!

  • @NikoProductionz

Well I wish I had your views on/attitude toward enjoying everyday life. But I certainly get a lot of joy out of films, which do a great job of taking you out of reality for even a short time.

  • @xNatalie24x : ahh, i try my personal best day to day, i mean we all feel stress u know...but sometimes, if u can really put enuff energy into it...seems possible to see the good in almost anything =)

  • @NikoProductionz Shut up sheltered life boy you dumb fuck, can you not see you are just lucky, some people live a mental tormented hell you could not imagine. They hear people spout that stupid shit to them all the time it only works if your life isn't a fucking shithole piece of fuck. So shut up cause you are bullshitting everyone. Enjoy your lucky life and shut the fuck up with the "there is good in everything" cause there isn't unless you live some sheltered life, so have fun and enjoy.
