  • Just messing

  • What happens in the 3rd click is what my computer does.:(

  • Have a macbook here. Im more a PC myself but was about to pack it up and sell it on ebay; whacked in the power for a moment to see if I could get ANYTHING outta it and it worked. Perfectly. Now it is stuck doing this. ._.

  • is cus uur gay

  • Did you ever replace the RAM on that computer?

  • he fixed it at 00:46

  • Fuck!

  • Ich würd Sagen ab zu Reparieren in den Nächsten Apple Store !

  • my mbp will not even turn on. i have tried everything, even shaking it like someone on here suggested... any more suggestions?

  • Ein Deutscher ! Yeah !

  • try to turn on the mac with the T key pressed when u turn it on.

  • I encountered this today due to the GPU issue. I just wanted to add to those who want to transfer their data off like me that a temporary workaround that worked for me was to close it, turn it over, and press with the force of like a 14 year old inward near the center of the computer(somewhat below and including the battery). I think somehow that reseated the GPU or something and it finally booted up for me so I can backup.

  • Follow up on my problem. I brought it back in to the only apple repair place in 50 miles. Besides the logic board (which may be this problem), it had a problem with the pins that connect to the power from the computer side. Luckily I have insurance for this product so I didn't lose my $1700 from this lemon of an Apple.

  • Dude, i had the same problem 4 days ago, and i just got it FIXED!

You need to first, do all the stuff they tell u to do at the apple website... check the power cord, battery, RAM..... all that bla bla bla. IF nothing of that helps, u need to take it to the apple store. I took mine, even tho it was 2 years out of warranty, and talked to the guys at the genius bar. They tested my mac and noticed my graphics chip was busted. They replaced for FREE and sent me to my place. DO THAT!!! U will get it!

  • TRAGIC.

  • dats nt a macbook bro..

  • @grgsuraj1987 orly? then what is it!

  • ur probally using a 60 watt ac adapter on a computer that requires a 85

  • apple will replace this without question most likely, if warranty is still valid.. thats why apple pwns, they actually try to help when you have a problem, and dont shit on your face like microsoft

  • @hondahp18

this is because that aint microsoft's problem, its the problem manufacturer of your laptop -.-( witch according to you shit in yo face !!!)

  • @hondahp18 Microsoft doesn't make computers, queerbait

  • ya the same thing happens to mine now, just that if i try holding the power button the 2nd time, it turns on fine.

to the apple store for me

  • Well... That's China for ya!

  • I had this same exact problem and found the craziest way to fix it. hold down the power button and shake the computer violently. this is not a joke. i'm even posting this on the computer that failed.

  • @Cyconerd DUDE HOLY S*** YOU JUST SAVED MY NIGHT AS I WAS ABOUT TO CRY... I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT WORKED... YOU ARE A GODSEND!!!! I just shook it violently... the old spit and glue tricks work best eh? Serious... I'm a DJ and Producer and I ONLY use this computer for work... it's my life. When it didn't turn on I was about to start applying to fast food chains...

  • i think i would cry. especially if i paid 2000$ for this laptop and it does that bull they should replace the whole laptop for free!

  • I will never buy a mac.

My sister has this stupid problem, but fortunately I know now the reason.

    Thanks tinyyuki

  • I had this problem before... accpet with my nintendo DS what happen was the fuse got busted or something like that

JUst bring it to a apple store and they will then probely fix it for you :D

  • crapple!!!!

  • @510METROID Yeah right.

    Fuck windows

  • it could be the battery out of power

  • Hey guys I know the SOLUTION to this problem.

I went to the Apple store in the UK with this exact same problem and it is indeed the LOGIC BOARD. Good news is that it doesn't effect your memory but bad news is that if your not in warrenty, it's gonna cost £300 to fix. Apple can do it in 4 weeks time but if you need it sooner they forward you onto thier trusted retailers and they have it done in about a week! Hope this helps you P.S. DONT PANIC! :D

  • hard drive is not good

  • i miss my old WINDOWS laptop... even though it over heats like my macbook it wont shut down i want it back...

  • umm charge it?

  • .......youtube . com / watch?v=03nRXZ7KiCg

  • i have the same problem.

    how did u fixed?

its the logic board? motherboard or graphics?

  • @JoHaNNeiiM:

Please see my video reply for an answer: "Re: MacBook Pro start-up problem".

    Good luck!

    Cheers,

    wikifisch

  • Hmm, it's strange though. after a while i've been dealing with this very same problem, i looked at my Acer notebook and to my surprise, it has never die once on me since 6 years. Why Apple doing this to us? Their notebook is so fragile nowadays.

  • NO NO! It's not battery. I watched this clip and read comments so i went to eBay and got myself a new battery. However, that did not solve my problem. Now, i decided to try another repair shop. They looked at it and told me: it's either the video card or logic board problem. They will call me and let me know which one. I'll update back here soon.

  • i hav the same problem.. i changed 3 logic board but that did not solve the problem.. i tried to open and clean so i hope the problem could be resolved

  • @matteoqwerty

Hi, i wonder what happened to your useless logic boards. So, if it's not logic board's fault then you logic board must be in working condition then. Or were they? Thanks

  • and the battery is bad and then exchange it macbook is good

  • I have the same problem with my macbook. Is it a motherboard problem???

  • Overpriced PC's = Mac

  • Just add more thermal Paste to the CPU & GPU. If that does not work reflow the GFX card with a heat gun.

  • I guess ur battery is dead, I believe that the mac pulls its power from the battery if the battery is present first before the magsafe power. OR have you left the battery charged for a while?

(I know this video is old but I'm looking into getting a mac)

  • all old macbooks that are at least 1 to 2 years have a nivida prob

  • LMAO

  • i notice all the problems are with the laptops.

  • There is a problem with the Mac Book Pro. My Mac only cuts on when it wants too. Right now, it not turning on at all. Mac knows about this problem. They should fix it reguardless of apple care or not.

  • Typical mac..,

  • I have a macbook, and for some reason it takes itself a good 8-10 minuets to boot up, anybody know what to do?

I dont have the cd's it came with, i dont know what happened to them..

    somebody please please help me!

  • hmm... you try reset the nram and pram :)

  • your power ac addapter is no good, change it

  • what the f the power unit is shagged

  • Should be covered under warranty.

  • Try Resetting the System Management Controller

  • THIS HAPPPENS TO ME 2

  • afgter the firt 2 time he goes omweeeee

  • I have a similar problem, I sent a video to my apple repair location. They said that Apple had a problem with a board and that they are extending the warranty on that problem. I hate apples now, due to this effed up problem I will never get another.

  • bad idea on your part

  • @sartellman glad u realised macs r just abrand of any other laptop that can break

  • FEEL UP THE BATERY!

  • Yep, this is the common problem of the Macbook Pro. This one wasnt tested enough before going out. I had the same thing and had it replaced for free. I think it is probably the only thing that Apple cant hold their head high about. But, Windows is one big ol' collection of problems,

  • guys could somebody help me? i have the new 13" macbook pro (the alluminum one) and when I start it up the screen stays gray for a while, then an Earth image starts to flash and then the apple logo appears(after that, the computer works perfectly) and I just wanna know what is happening and what could I do in order to stop this start-up problem. If ANYONE knows what to do, PLEASE! tell me :) thanks

  • I don't know what's going on but hold the shift key when starting up. it will take a while to start up and only do this once, if the problem still continues take it to an apple genius.

  • it just solved itself when I installed the snow leopard, thanks anyway ;)

  • Make a video.

  • i had the same issue it could be either the ram, ur battery is fried (get a new one), or the charger is broken (that was my problem)

  • ahh the battery is low dumdnut

  • the magsafe is plugged in

  • @spareful .. - wrong

  • @MultiEnglish1 well then it has a fuse problem

  • @MultiEnglish1 well then it has a fuse problem or wiring

  • @spareful yes

  • so... the problem is the battery life... buy on Apple Online Store a new battery for 15" MacBook Pro.

The Mac, at the first Power ON, start up with the battery and in the fev time with AC... the problem is the battery.

    Emanuele da ITALIA

  • mine's got the same problem. Doesn't boot up anymore... :-(

  • i am sure that is coz of ram

  • u serious....fucking faggot

  • hahaha college humor..one of the best ones

  • @Clockninja STOP BASHING MAC!!!

  • My iMac did this! after changing ram i get a kernel panic right after starting...

  • shouldnt do that.

  • its the ram!!!!!!! i see this all the time at my comp shop

  • I am not sure about that one but I will give you some stuff which can help you.

    1. Try reinstalling the OS

    2. Get a new hard drive

    3. Buy an External Hard Drive install OS on it and then connect it to your Mac and let it boot-up.

    4. Visit Apple Retail store or call Apple.

  • Reset PMU

  • logic boards bad

  • nice. how can you break a computer that fast

  • ded mac :(

  • logic board

  • Comment removed

  • new battery dude

  • wow... dude, just shut up please

  • I had a situation when my battery was at 60%, the computer will not work off the battery. It would shut down and it would not boot up unless I was on AC power. It could be a battery issue.

  • i think there is a problem with the cpu cause its not liking the battery try holding down the power botton untill the beep or take it to apple

  • Here's what you should do:

1.Throw that piece of shit away

    2.Get a real computer, not a Macintosh

  • but a PC will just get a load of viruses, be too slow and their are no apps good enough for me on a PC, a firmware update solved this on the macbook

  • 1.Viruses? It's called Anti-Virus FREEWARE

2.Apps not good enough for you on a PC? Wow... *slow applause* fail.

3.*Comment on video* It's pretty sad that a Mac is so bad, it doesn't even want to turn itself on.

  • lol macs don't get viruses at all their built on Unix and are immune to viruses, do you honestly think something that is free is 100% gonna protect your PC, I have used macs for 10 years never had any problems with them, I've had one kernel panic or crash to you windows users that was on my PowerMac G4, and thats because i added a cheap crap PC hard drive to it. I use final cut studio and Logic studio their are no apps comparable to that on a PC, if you need to macs can also run windows

  • I almost pissed myself laughing at the "Unix is immune to viruses". NOTHING. IS. IMMUNE. TO. VIRUSES. NOTHING. EVER. The fact that Macs don't really get any viruses is not due to the fact that it is immune. It's because noone BUYS the damn things, so noone tries to make a new virus. No point if there's no place to spread it. Oh, and I have used both Windows and Mac for quite some time now. I still choose Windows to this day. Always. That's why you combine Freeware with a firewall.

  • You tried putting a hard drive into a computer BEFORE you even knew it was going to work? You fail doubly for that! And this PC, this one I am using, is custom made. $1500, runs circles around your shitty little OS X. That's just the way it works. Cheaper than a Mac, yet better! Oh and I've been using Windows for about 12 years now. No problems. Some mechanical here and there, but not something that can't be easily fixed. Enjoy your Macintrash.

  • enjoy your pointelss crap thats what PC stands for and VISTA well it means Viruses, Intruders, Spyware, trojans & adware

  • What's that? I can't hear you over the sounds of the various new video games that I'm playing on my PC that Macs don't have! Oh well, I'm sure it was nothing important or relevant...

  • but i can play any game you can play on your windows machine, on my 8 core Mac pro

  • AH HA HA HA HA HAAAA HAA HA AHHHA HHA HA... oh you were serious... *snickers*

Really? Try running the following games:

    1.Crysis

    2.Gears of War

    3.Halo 2

    4.Farcry 2

    5.Assassin's Creed

And tell me you don't have problems.

  • I've tried Halo 2 & Crysis on my mac pro under windows vista it ran perfect, no lag at all, my mac pro specs are 2.8Ghz 8 Intel Core Xeon, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600, an amazing rendering card for my 3d production classes, but since i never game, there was no point in buying them the power is for my editing skills, not for gaming, the games like such as sims & sim city are on the mac anyway

  • This is the same problem im having with my macbook

But it turns on for about 5-7minutes then shuts down, I was having serious problems with it before this happend.

    Any one have any solutions?

    Ive had it for 6Months

  • my mac problem is worst...whenever i try to switch on my mac under water, it would go pooof!! now i have to get a new one

  • That happened to mine after I got leopard. It turned on for a little bit longer than yours and then shuts off. My battery was fine and new...ish but I got a new battery and now it does not do that. If your mac is still under warranty you can get a free battery, if that is your problem, if you give your battery in. But I would call the support number and ask them first. The number is : 1-800-275-2273.

  • WOW... you oughtta take that baby to get it fixed... that could be a serious crash issue.

  • My battery died after a year, my screen got this weird stain that impossible to get rid off and the laptop often overheated and making weird noises. I think Apple doesn't spend enough time inspecting the quality of their products. They just try to get it out into the market for some doughs. This will be my first and last macbook pro.

  • What? You left it outside in the sun and rain too long?

  • i guess microshit and crapple have allot in common

  • you shoulda brought it to apple during the 1 year service time you had left.... i hope your macbook pro gets better.... cuz its one expensive piece of equipment!

  • Sounds like a possible cold solder issue, or a bad battery. I hope you got it fixed seeing this was posted in jan of 2007

  • Did it come with the hardware test CD? If so, boot from that (hold down C as it boots) and see if all the hardware is working properly.

  • Charge the damn baterey mine did not come charged

  • MacBook Pro's should come with 3 year warranty.. They break and have more problems than 360's

  • Seriously?

  • danm, im thinking about geting one for graphic design..are you for real, i mean i have heard of alot of macs crashing

  • NO... Windows Computers are crashing like Shit now a days...

  • Get the cd rom drive sorted mate if you take that out and it boots fine that's broken. Nothing more.

  • nothing to do with the cd drive. that is the damn battery!

  • check the CD drive of the thing..

  • never happened to my windows pc so i cant help, go ask steve jobs

  • bad logic board or something is shorting/overheating

  • It clearly needs a new logic board.

  • ha, it didnt even get to make the DUHHHH start up sound, lmao

  • Well, I'm stupid, That's not CDROM Drive. XD. Yeah, Get new battery.

  • that CD Rom drive you took out and then it worked, It may refuse to start because of a faulty CD Rom drive. Get that replaced, or have them look at it, That's likely the problem.

  • its not finding the operating system

go get that checked out if u got a warranty or something

  • pense qu era de la gas pero tienes problemas con el ensendido electronico jajajaj un saludo

  • ya no tiene gasolina jajajaja

  • Oh my God, MacBook Pros suck because they won't start up on a dead battery! Apple sucks at designing laptops!

  • its proubly dead sorry hope it gets fixed

  • "too many mouse holes" what???!?!?!

  • No, he says: Hol doch mal die Maus raus, they are German. Anyway, the thing is pretty fuckt up. Try getting a new batt. Or check what happens if you boot it up with the system recovering dvd's.

  • Replace the battery.

  • Change the battery and I think that the power circuits in your computer are messed up.

  • Dude ur macbook is fucked

  • pretty sure its a battery problem dude it does the same on my laptop i just changed my batterie.. whatever i got a pc

  • weird...

  • Thats weird, usually the bong sound means everything works fine. I wonder why removing the optical drive fixed it.

  • Your Macbook Pro is in need for a battery replacement or charge. Mine did that and I tried charging it a couple of times, and when that didn't work I bought a new battery and it was fine.

  • i have a black macbook; i am already considering apple care because of all the videos of faulty macbooks ive seen on youtube..

  • i have a black macbook; i am already considering apple care because of all the videos of faulty macbooks ive seen on youtube..

  • i have the samme problem i just go to apple store and they change my batery with out problems this must be the samme problem like in 2006 when the apple have make battery repair action or someting like that the sony baterriaes ar sucks!!

  • OMG! your so dumb the macbook is just out of battery!

  • your right but well 99.9% of people that own a mac are dumb asses and know nothing about computers

  • i NEVER called tehc support and never met anyone who have because thay know me in the 12 ranked best white hat hacker in the world and can fix just about amnything pc or mac without evin thinking about it also you probly can only fix it under 3 min because it breaks every 2 min

  • really and how old are you? Are you comparng your amazing record against the record of a 13 year old boy who fixes eMacs for fun?

  • yah im 14

  • shut up Btroisi13

  • wow, you're probably, what? 15? Thought you'd impress us with your knowledge of the term "White Hat hacker?" Bring some proof or get a life. You argue just like a 13 year old. Some wonderful hacker you are, you can't even type without spelling "the" correctly. I bet that helps out a lot when you're hacking away.

  • the power plug was clearly being used in the video... it shows that it started working after he pulled out the cd drive or whatever that was..

  • the power plug was clearly being used in the video... it shows that it started working after he pulled out the cd drive or whatever that was..

  • i think if you press it one more time your problem will be solved

  • If only al MACs where like that....

  • i've noticed that when you attack the power adapter to a MBP that is fully charged the adapter stops providing power after 5 sec if the laptop isn't on. Just take it off and put it back on and it starts.

    Go figure...

  • i got a fujitsu siemens and the wireless button stopped workng how the hell do u fix it

  • go to to the appple site and check out the forums on Macbook Pro 15' . There's a lot of Q's asked and answered.

  • the mbp pro i got today for my bday turned on but there was no brightness even wen i put the brightness on high

  • yea is the batery dead? lol gotta charge it.

  • battery dead!

  • no it's hooked up to the AC adapter so that's not the problem. i think this MacBook Pro is suffering from RSS (random shutdown syndrome)

  • A PRAM reset might do it. My iBook from cold, could take anything up to 10 minutes just to get to the happy mac (frustrating) and buying a new battery didn't totally fix the problem. I rest the PRAM a few minutes ago after hearing it does the trick so it may well work for you too.

  • TAKE THE BATTERY OUT AND THEN HOLD DOWN THE POWER BUTTON FOR 20 SECONDS. THEN AS SOON AS YOU TURN IT SON, HOLD DOWN THE COMMAND-OPTION-P-R- KEYS UNTIL YOU HEAR THE START-UP SOUND A SCEOND TIME.

    NEED HELP?

need help with a mac o9r pc, just email me at computerguy105 @ mac com or IM me at cumputerguy95

  • get out the os x disk that came with the macbook. put it in and restart. hold down the c key while booting to boot from the DVD, once booted go to the top menu and open disk utility. Once in disk utility repair your main volume. this will fix it unless it a hardware problem

  • The same thing happened to me. I had the logic board replaced in it. Now it works fine. Did you ever get it fixed?

  • Hi Kinder16,

based on the articles I've read, the logic board was my assumption too. Well after picking it up from repair they "said" that they replaced the logic board, but the failure came back (with the original AC adaptor). Se my other post for details ("Re: MacBook Pro start-up problem"). I was really disappointed but finally got my money back. Now I have a FUJITSU-SIEMENS amilo (and I am very happy with it).

Good luck with your MacBook Pro, kinder16!

    Best regards,

    wikifisch

  • take it bac to an apple store they will replace it for you for free if you still have a wareentee on it

  • what u need to do is return it get ur cash back and buy a Windows Vista pc trust me ull never go back to crappy piece of shit macs

  • mac is one of the top of the
