Perfect lesson! please do lots of new videos, i really wanted to learn how to play this solo and reading the tabs or watching people telling you where to place your finger is boring and u cant even see if u are in the tone, this method is awesome and i hope that u in future will put more awesome solos by metallica(for example fade to black :D)

Amp: "Rec"

Treble 60-80% ish up

Bass 30-50% ish up

Mid 100% up

have your neck pickup selected

reverb all the way up

turn on a slight delay

And that should get you very close to the tone. GL!

Would you recommend the Vypyr amp? I need a new one but I haven't a clue what to buy haha

@mastersilversoul I would defiantly recommend the vyper. You can pretty much adjust it to any sound/tone you like. The only minor complaint I have is that its distortion for heavy metal isn't ideal, but it's still very good. The other viable option for a cheap amp is line6 spider. Line6 Spiders have a better heavy metal sound than vyper but everything else is worse in my opinion. However both are great amps and I would suggest you try one out at a guitar center. Hope this helps and good luck!

Vyper is a good practice amp.

I'd actually recommend the Fender Mustang III or IV. 100 watts.

You did some mistakes while playing. But, for only 9 months of practice, it was really impressing.

But you have forgotten to play the interlude. It's just the first solo. The Interlude is the clean part before the part in your video. But the tabs are really good and helpful. A good job on the whole,

btw as i had read "played by: James" i expected hetfield to appear on the screen ;-).

This is sooooo much easier than people telling you where to place your fingers and where to slide etc and I really like this method, because it's easy to just read the tabs, and I can always look at you if I don't think I'm playing it correctly. This is how all Guitar lessons should be.

very good haha i had a tab 4 this but was wrong clearly. just the last note before the 15s19 i would change it to a 10 on the b string instead of the 14 on the g string. makes that final slide easier to get with the 3rd finger and then it flows into the interlude easier to

the ex50 pickups suck dude you should have jsut sticked with the rg i was gonna get the ex260 then i went to rg series cause the esp lh-300 and lh-100 pickups have bad tones if you saved a lil more money you could've gotten a ex401 with emg 81/81
