You can totally get a Marshall G30CDR 30W for a hundred bucks if you shop around. Its a great little amp. Its discontinued. One of the first solid state starter amps they were putting out. The Peavey Vypyr 30W has an edge over it (its more up to date) but its harder to use and is more than twice the price.

@rgvilla55 Well, I have both, in Les Pauls, and have good amps too. I know what both are capible of, even a Screamin Demon sounds better than the B L. So you are wrong.

If you are referring to the Bill Lawrence USA from his former business partner, then you are right. But the Bill n Becky version, those two pickups can't hold a candle to it. They are tight, articulate, loud and clear; plus they clean up nicely when you roll down the volume. If those two pickups rock you boat, then good for you. Tone is subjective to your ears. If you haven't tried them, then you don't know what you are missing

why didnt you just wait for them to make the pickups in the color you wanted? they are definitely worth the wait, I almost waited 2 months to get my pickups I ordered for my G&L Invader (1HB and 2 Singles).

We all know they sound killer so why not have them looking the way we want.

@roadtonever No prob. These pickups are God's gift to the music industry. I just wanted to share it. I'm planning on doing another demo when I get time. This time with distortion and also with the Coil-tap engaged.

If you had to guess. What would the EQ be for the Bill Lawrence L-500xl?

I don't know about that.  It's just got amazing dynamics with regards to all freqs. Those 3rd and 4th fret harmonics are gonna easier to hit with those pickups. The L500XL is a beast and will definitely boost your sound better than a Seymour duncan JB
