To listen to him you'd think Lynch was some kindly old farmer from Montana. He gives no hint about the deranged, twisted, talented mind that lies beneath that benign exterior.
The former Eagle Scout (David Lynch) from Missoula is incredibly creative. In this particular interview he makes excellent points but what it all leads to is "We had it sold with no idea where we were going; no scripts; no real concept; stream of consciousness experimental. I liked TP, I like David. I applaud him and his partner Mr. Frost for pulling this psycho-drama off on the bankers and big shots of the industry. Applause, applause! for their efforts. Maybe they'll do it again?
He should direct a Mr. Rogers Neighborhood film that would somehow intertwine with the Black Lodge, and he could play Mr. Rogers, and Dennis Hopper could play Mr. McFeely.
Pretentious bollox!

In my experience Sally says that she didn't get it and that it was weird, and then she stares at her phone for the next six hours.
