SB20.., give credit where its due. I respect that ESL almost lost but travel-n-miles r excuses. Charge it to the game! Speed killed SR. ESL historically traveld more than SR ever has. U r right, SR has more comp wk 2 wk which is why we travel. U face the best in state, we face USA Today top ranked teams. ESL is a historical IL powerhous. While SR has decent history too, I was apalled by many blogs(many racist btw)from SR fans suprised by the comeback. We r suprised we let SR get a big lead!

I am giving credit. I think you guys had one of the most explosive offenses in state history. O just don't understand why stlbigboi came out and put me in the ground after all I said is if we nicked up our 4th quarter game plan, we would've been in state. Hey I am from Edwardsville and I played in 2003, 04, and 05 with singleton back in the day. I gotta say hands down they have one hell of a tradition at East side High. they produce the best running backs and secondary in the state, a damn good line and agile recievers. they have all the tools and all the talent. can't wait to see them play even if they make E' ville eat dirt. lol.

It's interesting...these kids literally come from nothing, and excel in football and basketball every year. How long has it been this way? From what I hear about 3 decades. They should make this into a movie one day. I don't think I've seen anything like it.

while i give them credit for where they've came from, east st. louis has gotten it's ass beat in everything except track by edwardsville in every year of this decade except the past two. they were national champs in the 80s, but after that they couldn't keep it together because none of their players are disciplined. these past two years have been much better than usual, but i expect them to lose to edwardsville next year or in three years, they're discipline just isn't there.
