How to Load a Holga Camera

what does 16 and 12 really do to the pictures?

My guess is, there are two frame sizes to matt a 120 roll of film in a Holga. A 6x6 matt allows for 12 exposures, 6x4.5 matt allows for 16 exposures. The paper backing on the film is marked to advance by one or the other, You slide the button to reveal the markings you've hopefully matted your camerra to use. I'm not an expert though.

I'm not new to film but new to the Holga and 120 film. I just got back my first three rolls. What and awesome thing. My friends (who all shoot digital) were blown away by the look.

how would you know when to stop turning the advance thingy?

and does all the film say the same thing ? im using the filmg that comes with the holga starter kit .

it will say 1 over 1... depending on which setting mask you've chosen.

instead of duct tape, you sould probably use gaffer's tape. It seals the light leaks and it doesn't make everything all nasty and gluey if you want to take it off!

You should also make sure you have ducktape over the part where it says "16" or "12", that is also a main source where light leaks come from.

i have a question, i have a 120cfn, but how do i load the battery, is it both side positive sides facing up?
