  • I noticed the branch goes up in a gradient...what gradient did you use?????????

  • @tpxpress To be honest it was very much a bit of guesswork. Looking at is as I have again this evening from my garden chair it's about 1 ft in10 real scale

  • @metadyneman OK, thanks for that. Tips greatly appreciated for a seperate project I'm doing

  • Another great clip of your garden line. I keep coming back to them. They are like therapy!

I like your method of light touch scenery, with just a few buildings, letting the garden provide the setting. If i escape the loft i would be tempted to take the same approach.

I guess that resin buildings are good choice outside, or airfix/dapol kits whch are realistic but cheap to replace if next door's cat destroys them.

Oh, and the Christmas lights are a nice touch too.

  • enjoyed your new branchline video another place to visit iin the virtual world of model railways 5 stars

  • Love the extension there Jules. It's an idea I've planned for my preserved line(single line with passing line & terminus),running three carriage-rakes behind steam & preserved early diesels. The station looks excellent without being too outlandish.

  • Excellent work Jules, looks great - also like the diesel traction running on the main....

    Keep it coming mate.

  • ita a magical place!!

  • @atreewithnolife Well it's certainly imaginary, yes.

  • nice little set, though you have a couple of clearance issues, at 1:56 the network SE diesel multiple unit pulls out of the station and scraps its corner along the trackside structure lifting the body.

  • @Xantec That has now been sorted.

  • When I can buy a house or ground floor flat with a Garden - I'm going to construct a garden railway just like this one. This is ace!

  • Very nice :-D

  • good job!

  • A nie addition to an excellent garden railway.I wish I had a nice secluded garden to build a railway like that, but thanks for sharing yours with us. Vern

  • @captnvern It's a pleasure.. and i'm really pleased it has brought so much pleasure to all those who have made comments. It has really kept me sane over the years and I enjoy making the films as much as I do running my railway.

  • nice video - enjoyed seeing the line being built - especially good to see a giant pint near the Airfix pub.

  • @wd23st Well spotted!

  • Most impresive Jules. The branch line looks very good.

  • LOVE IT Very impresive

  • To say the last line you made on your railway was in 2003 you have don a very nice job of it and the station at the other end looks very impressive. May I ask how long did it take to build?

  • @penninefilms well the main line took about two months to construct the base then it has taken a few years to change, adjust here & there, repair damage etc etc it is a constant evolution . If you look at my other videos you will see the various differences that have taken place over the eight or so years it has been in existence

  • @metadyneman Thank you for the reply to my comment.

  • Very impressive! I do love your garden railway... something about it that just impresses me.

  • we wondered were you got too, very nice,i like you fleet of green RFs in the station forecourt they always looked good in country area lincoln green one question do you bond your track or just rely on the fishplates for electrical contact

  • @1968concorde I rely on fishplates which do need replacing. It's a rolling program.. a bit like painting the forth bridge.
