  • ok. didnt look away. now gonna go eat. and yes its chicken :/

  • Yet another pro-vegetarian video that seems to see factory farming and responsibly managed, free range meat as the same thing. Rather than discouraging people from eating meat all together, we should be educating people on perhaps eating less of it and making sure to respect and rear the animal in a way that means they have the best life possible.

  • Sorry, Abby, but this is the "standard" way that animals are treated- this is where most of your meat, eggs, and dairy products come from (over 99%). Those other "happy" farms that you're thinking of are almost all very small operations, mostly to provide food just for the farmers and their families.

  • @grabsolar I'd be interested to know where you pulled that "over 99%" figure from? I thin you'll find that in the vast majority of dairy cases, this is NOT standard practice in most countries. Similarly, these small farms you talk about don't just provide food for their families and many sell to butchers, farmers markets and to the higher welfare chickens in super markets - those are called small holdings. Please check your facts and think about your argument before you say something.

  • @foulkesy123456 You've made a good point. I apologize. I should have been more specific when I made that statement. What I should have said was something like, "In the area where I live (rural Ohio), over 99% of the meat sold in the supermarkets comes from enormous factory farms where the animals are abused like those shown in the video." You are right that local small farmers do sell meat to the local butcher shops. But not our big sellers like Walmart.

  • maybe its time for pepole to get used to how the world is fed, its an animal, they are grown to be killed and yes used for a meal

  • i wondeer how they fukeen do tht whyy woold they do tht what id they were the animals i get it tht we like meat but likee we dont gotta kill aloot there there thee fukeen reaason the world is gonna end or all the animals will die!!

  • @Abbyxbaybee hahaha bud, they can grow lots of them, the world wont end that way, and factory farms are how we feed the world. Although there are some stupid cruel farmers, but they never show the good ones

  • Goddamn......Now i'm hungry for a fucking hamburger.!

  • man will be better off,by eating those animals alive.......As oppose to eating dead animal's ,dead meat.So as long as human's continue consuming dead things, they will go on life as dead as the things they put into their body's.......Or some shit like that!

  • f*cking farmers

  • @hhhfgdg yeah friggin farmers, dont need those to feed your lazy ass...

  • and the creeps that do this for a job.... good luck to you in the hereafter

  • I disagree, science has proven that we are capable of eating meat or vegetation, we aren't meant to eat one or the other, but we are capable of eating both, the human race is very adaptable, its why we've lived so long in such hostile conditions ( such as the ice age, or people who live in Dessert, like Egypt or frozen areas of the world like Greenland..) i do agree however that the average person does consume too much meat, and the way alot of the animals are treated isn't right at all,

  • A lion or a tiger would certainly eat me if the situation was in reverse.

  • @chaseindie they don't exactly have other options and aren't at the top of the food chain...

  • we are functionally omnivorous. our digestive system, our teeth, our genetic make up, everything suggests the same. some non veg diet is unhealthy so is some veg diet! eat only as much as you need. do not kill (or cut trees) for fun. i got no prob with u being a veggie... let me choose what i want to eat.

  • Some People just don't have hearts!!

I'm so glad I'm a veggie and for 2 years now and not once have I wanted meat!!

I love animals and h8 the thort of them being killed for no good reason at all!!

  • And no, WE WERE NOT DESIGNED TO EAT MEAT. There is an abundant amount of evidence that vegetarian diets are more healthful than the average American diet-treating or reversing heart disease & reducing the risk of cancer. Research has shown a low-fat vegetarian diet is the most effective way to stop progression of coronary artery disease or prevent it altogether. Diabetes, obesity, gallstones, and kidney stones are much less common in vegetarians. Thank YOU very much.

  • @AnGeLiNdAsKyZ

    @AnGeLiNdAsKyZ

dear dear... can you prove that. I can surely prove you wrong! the cholesterol in your blood is actually made in your own liver and actually cholesterol in your food prevents your liver from creating high amounts of cholesterol. a good diet is not a veg diet. it is a balanced diet. we are not carnivores or herbivores. we are omnivores. please do not talk pseudo science

  • @AnGeLiNdAsKyZ LOL! You're crazy. Research has PROVEN UNDEINIABLY that we are designed to eat meat due to the lining of our esophagus and the fact that we have HEMO RECEPTORS TO DIGEST BLOOD. Know your facts before spewing fake science, thanks.

  • @OchrismongrelO Nope , science has proven without any question that the human body cannot effectively assimilate meat . Our PH in a full stomache is 4 !! Every animal on the planet that is a meat eater has a full stomache ph below 2 . We have side toside jaw movement , not one omnivore or carnivore has that . We lack the ability to chase down kill and consume animals with our natural equipment (teeth, claws ) etc . Biologically humans are herbivores . Anthropologists called us omnivores .

  • Humans have always been eating meat, it is a natural thing. This video just shows all the burtal ways of killing, so I will just keep enjoying my Chicken nuggets, fish fries and mutton curry, thank you very much

  • Am confused ! Its not the industries fault for the main issue which is living conditions, but rather the consumers ? It is possible that the meat industries could practice more humane ways of raising livestock for consumption, so how exactly is the abuse the consumers fault ? The industry could operate under better living conditions for the animals while maintaining a market for meat. The only issue left would be the expulsion of methane.

  • The killing part isn't that big of an issue ? It seems to be ! Yes the cramped unfit living conditions are less than humane, so what exactly am i not getting ?

And yes Dave, im just a big ol vegan basher !! Eating a diet that is more nutritious than a meat based diet is wrong ?

Abusing animals in ways being less than humane is correct ?

What am i not getting ?

  • I understand all the problems in the meat industry, but like i said, there are other sources of meat beyond livestock and processed food. not all omnivores strictly eat industrial raised animals ! There are plagues associated with all industry, not just the raising of livestock. Deforestation for any cultivation is devastating to the earth, paper products, farming, etc. All research on diets suggests many theories in accordance with food intake . The con is truthful either way.

  • May I ask then if you raise and kill animals for your own consumption? How many people in the world you think do that themselves? Yes, there are problems with every industry but by taking meat out of your diet you are not supporting the abuse of animals and are not contributing to one of the main contributors to global warming: cows raised for beef and milk. Nobody is perfect but by not taking a small step you're just making excuses and a part of one of the major problems of our culture.

  • Overpopulation and the need for easy accessed foods are the plague overruling the earth despite any diet . Meat has been present for thousands of years in man's diet, but not on a dependent level associated with todays economy or the relative easiness in obtaining meals using money !!

  • This guy just goes around bashing vegans/vegetarians, he doesn't understand the problem is with the MEAT industry and ANIMAL industry.

  • No the problem isn't the industries themselves. They wouldn't exist or operate on their own. It's the PEOPLE who buy the meat and keep them operating.

  • Know what i see?

Everything i see in the other video's about animal torture.

    Just an other sequence.

These are just shot's once made and get repeated.

I've seen video's of how it should be.

How to respect the animal and make it into a eatable product without letting it suffer.

But since these kind of video's are hard to find i can't give you a good example.

    search on youtube for:

    "Example of cattle slaughtering lines_Part1"

And maybe you change your mind about cruelty to animals.

  • What you're not fully getting is the killing part itself isn't that big of an issue to most vegetarians/ vegans. It's the conditions the animal lives in its entire life and the cruelty it endures while it's LIVING (cramped in small cages, force fed to be made fatter, physical side-effects of hormones and over use of antibiotics).

  • no, still not convinced. I do think that people have to give animals the respect they deserve. Not having them in those ugly places, and to give them better treatment. I still think that we can eat meat because its good for you. But with a bit more of responsibility.

  • Actually it's not really "good for you" at all. No responsible doctor suggests anyone should eat "more meat" but always "less". Eating meat is associated with heart disease, certain cancers, diabetes and obesity. You also put yourself at risk for contaminates through bacteria. Animal agriculture is also connected to deforestation, ground water pollution, 18% of methane gasses in global warming... and so many more ills. You can get everything you need to thrive on a plant based vegan diet.

  • eat the right amount without it u would die

  • As for this food chain, People who pride themselves on being part of the human hunter tradition should take a second look at the story of human evolution. Prehistoric evidence indicates that humans developed hunting skills relatively recently and that most of our short, meat-eating past was spent scavenging and eating almost anything in order to survive; even then, meat was a tiny part of our caloric intake.

  • Hi Guy,

Thanks very much for your comment. I'm pleased to tell you that its 2008. In this day, there have never been more wonderful and spectacular vegan and vegetarian options. Many people will tell you that after they go veg, their options for food greatly increases. People who dont eat animals usually arent against the taste of meat, just against the violence, cruelty, and diseases ridden cholesterol that go into it.

  • The food chain is brutal and bloody, but I didn't clime all the way to the top of it, just to eat a carrot.
