  • This isn't Lothlorien. This is Wonder. Lothlorien has Legolas and an elven ensabmle singing. Wonder is Galadriel's solo.

  • The sensation of this song in Toronto was just indiscribable. I feel like you had to be there. I remember sitting in the audience, and watching her sing this, and barely believing my eyes or ears that I was really hearing someone sing this way. Her performance in this show, to me, was as cool as anything else in the entire production :)

  • I think she can be a good elphaba! do you agree?

  • Ooh, I do :)

  • This song is called 'Wonder' by trhe way

    Im 100% certaon!!!!!

  • i like both versions of wonder, RJMs and LMKs and Abbie Osmon's if you are to include her. Which is would because they all but different tones in their voices for this song.

I beleive RJM put in the most remorse and the most sorrow in this song, which i think is important in this song. So this is why i really really like this video!

And it is called wonder to the person below.

  • isn this song called "wonder"???????

  • it is now.... in te london productions and the upocoming tour

but in the toronto show they didnt have the song that we now cal "lothlorién"

    this was lothlorien....

  • Poor girl. Of course she doesn't sound as good as she really is.. this is a bad recording, she sounds amazing live (as does LMK). The bootleg audio recordings of LMK doing Lothlorien make her sound worse than she is just like this does to RJM. Both are very different in their own ways, but both equally enjoyable during the show, I actually prefer the power in this version and love how it's so uncanny but majestic.

  • Uncanny but majestic -- good description! I agree :)

  • can i shoot RJM! ThelilFool is accurate down to that last smiley face.

  • i think they both have their strong points. The way this girl sings "Wonder" is stronger and more powerful, but Laura knows how to smoothly transition from chest to head voice. id rather see Laura in the role though :)

  • She did a great job with this song

    I LOve LOTR The Musical

  • gosh, i didn't know how much they have changed this song for the uk perfomance, wish i could have seen it in the us aswell,

oh well, ill just stick to london =]

  • They didn't REALLY change it. I mean its still in the show. They just kinda changed the name to Wonder then wrote another song thats named Lothlorien.

  • Still it is changed. haha. Im so confusing. Ignore me.

  • WOW I forgot how amazing this song was...

I remember just sitting there and for the first time ever in a theatre experience i felt happiness flow through me and a smile came across my face...

    and I don't smile often...

Rebecca did an amazing job of this :D LOVED THIS SHOW

I WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN!!

  • Thank god that these songs were put here... I thought I would never hear them again. You have no idea how thankful I am. I cried when I heard these songs again.

  • I think I'm crying! Its so lovely!

  • Hey guys,

I'm new around here so I'm not sure how to upload some music recordings of my own (they aren't videos; I was trying to sing part of this song). Can anyone help me please?

  • is this song done by ar rahman?

  • For anyone who has not seen this, it's a must! Blown away hardly discribes the show! Saw it in May and am going to try and go again in December!

  • check out the program and other stuff on theatre247 online

  • Brainsweeper, it didn't show anything new? What's the point of not answering the question with a plug for a website?

  • sorry i thought i was putting a general comment about theatre247 site as it has lotr clips and now have realised its ended up coming after conf101's comment so wasnt responding to that im afraid. if its any consolation, the show was great but heard the other night about the accident, ouch!

  • what have they taken out from the Toronto show? any songs taken out?

  • I love this song it makes me cry. It makes me think of all the beauty in the world and all that we are destroying. That sounds very deep. Maybe I'm just in one of those moods. Beautiful. Roll on the cast recording. Wish they'd put the original songs from Toronto on too. Thank god for youtube cos without it these original versions would be lost but in our memory.

  • Great song! I hope they decide to make a London cast recording. The rumor is it might actually happen. Also, I would love see see this music be a skating program someday, maybe by Michelle Kwan or Yu-Na Kim.

  • Wow!

Saw this Christmas '05 in Toronto, and again in London yesterday! Must say while Toronto was loooonger, London's attempt to shorten it resulted in a botched plot.

Anyone know if there is (or will) be an offical soundtrack release. I've failed to find anything. :(

  • Hey im thinking of going to the london one. Im an avid LOTR film fan, is it going to be worth it?

  • If you're a fan definitely. It isn't perfect and the bad critics weren't all wrong but i've seen it and it was great... just try not to get seats at the back of the stalls because you can only see half of the stage (vertically) and a part of the lothlorien section is being played up in the air sou you wouldn't be able to see it

  • For a fan, definately. Even if it's just to see the winding braches that they've built all around the stage.

  • This is absolutely GORGEOUS! I can't stop listening to it!

  • Is she Natalie Jackson Mendozas sister? Natalie played Juno in the Descent and was Eponine in Les Mis at one point and in Moulin Rouge as a can-can dancer

  • Much better than the one minute clip. The ending finale wails make more sense with the rest of the song, and it sounds a lot more musical. Thanks for putting this up.

  • is the musical as good as the movies?? cos i rle cnt imagine the characters singing!!

  • I'll admit, she was hit and miss for me. Some shows she's was spot on, some, not so much. This maybe isn't her best effort. But the whole of Lothlorien was my favourite part of this show.

  • She sounds a lot better when she's not trying to push it out of her chest. Her soft voice is a lot easier on my ears ;) She still isn't "THE" Galadriel for me, though. The wacky costumes and odd casting made the musical production just seem wrong-- and not to be a downer but the whole thing was overrated; it didn't display any subtlety or ethereality that people love LotR for.

  • Thank you again for posting these!

  • One of the best songs of the show!

  • agreed!

  • SHE IS SO AMAZING! GOOD LORD!

i love you for posting these videos!

  • ditto!
