Yamaha are the most underated pedals. I can not beleive everyone talks about so many pedals but you do not hear as much about Yamaha. They are GREAT pedals. Chain drive or Direct drive. I sold my Demon Drive and went back to yamaha. Buying the Demon drive was the biggest purchas MISTAKE I ever made. It started clicking and the nut that holds the spring tensioner is plastic and just broke in half. It is WAY overpriced. Not built well enough for the money.
The reason almost all Yamaha pedals feel great is the lightness of their moving parts. The touch is featherlight, but because of great balance in the pedal you can achieve some power as well. The only pedal I like better is Pearls Demon Drive.

Mate... definitely go for direct drive pedal.. its more punchier thn chain drive... u get more power in ur punch... and smooth too... as most of the modern drummers choose direct drive... and its price is also gone down now i guess then the time I bought...

Actually both of them are kinda similar... as both of them have the direct drive feature... and the DFP9500D has got the same size of foot board as the DFP9415.
These are great pedals. I never new Yamaha made great pedals. I tried this for about half an hour and I was frickin amazed! Yamaha is so underated when it comes to pedals. i remember having problems with the U-joints being loose with too much play. these look the same to me as the flying dragons universal. i liked the pedals but hated the universal because of that.
Dude sick pedal mam but go back to your music and look at a shitload of beaters cuz those will make you slow at the double bass. get lightweight ones and a bass drum protector and your set ! But anyways nice pedal
@gooooddd , thnkx man... ur right actually.. these beaters are really heavy... everytime i punch.. feels like it's gonna break the bass drum head... though gives a powerful punch... i will think of changing those beaters...
how long is the foot board, i heard it's pretty long, im planning on getting the chain-drive, but it comes with a belt for belt drive playing, like i usually play, belt drive FTW!
M not so sure of ebay because upto now i havent bought anything from ebay. but some of my friends said that never buy so much expensive things on ebay because the dealers are not trust worthyy.... they can send you faulty goods...
In my experience, yes the direct drive pedals do give us more power and attack than the chain drive and belt drive pedals... You can simply check that jus by trying the direct drive pedal and the chain or belt drive pedal jus one after another... you will already start to feel the difference on them...

These pedals are really nice. I had my old pearl twin pedal worth £128 but this one's really great and feels so different. you can feel the quick attack and release far better thn frm ur stagg pedals... Its a cheaper version of Axis pedals...

I would rather get the Axis Longboards than the DW 9000 and both are almost the same price.
