@nostanova my phd project was transfecting psm precursors in the primitive streak, I assure you it's possible to transfect specifically. If you reckon it's from a paper, I'll try and sniff it out.
@Confuseddave Nah its DII, RFP isnt that red and this video was around before RFP. You couldnt specifically tranfect cells like that in chick its impossible withount tissue transplantation. I remember this video from a paper i read and its DII, I think its by shoenwolf. i worked in chick gastrulation research for 5 years.

What's the red? It looks a little like a lineage tracer, but doesn't seem to move right. Is it transfected?

Doesn't look like DiI to me; that would start strong and disappear. The way it comes on slowly makes it look like RFP transfection.
