Hopefully Berdych wins a slam one day. He's obviously got the game. I find his forehand to be similar to Fed's, a bit more mechanical, but definitely one of the most lethal on tour. He's one of the few who can go toe-to-toe with Fed on the forehand side, but if Roger's moving well, it's game over.

@blindspirit I don't think he seems comfortable enough with his volleys to do that... I mean, come on, Murray has got the game to win a slam, but he doesn't have the mental fitness to conquer the expectations of his home crowd and we can see the results of that. Berdych is like streets behind Murray in his game, and not there in terms of mental arrogance either..

Fed here was really slapping the ball here being much more aggressive, taking it to berdych straight away unlike at wimbledon and miami. I really want to see this aggressive, attacking fed back, he showed good signs in the american hardcourt swing and hope to see him fully back soon.

This is the type of play Federer needs to play - aggressive forehand and backhand, brilliant footwork, and attacking the net all the time. It's just disappointing to see him play bad at the moment (in his standards). His forehand is just not powerful enough; backhand seems to be vulnerable than ever; and finally movement which was one of his strongest asset. Really hope his new coach can put Fed back into his old form

funny when thinking back, this was just after he won another masters cup again and after another stellar season - who'd have guessed what was to follow? im guessing not a person alive today would have predicted what was to come for federer through 08/part of 09, an undoubtable demise, despite continued success, just not what we have come to expect and to adore from RF.
