I would like to have seen Graziano fight Jake Lamotta! Lamotta would probably have destroyed Him. Lamotta knocked Janiro's nose from one end of His face to the other(Because His Wife Vickie said Janiro was good looking)
I agree. Lamotta didn't have great punching power like graziano but his chin was way too strong for graziano to knock him out. Lamotta by late KO or TKO.
@MrTennesseeVols LaMotta would have destroyed Graziano. Graziano was a protected fighter for most of his career and his camp knew better than to get him in with LaMotta.
Janiro scored two knockdowns which the ref incorrectly ruled as slips. However, since Rocky syopped Janiro in the 10th, the fight did not go the distance, and those two knockdowns would not have figured in the scoring. Graziano was a brawler with a dynamite right hand. Rocky was an exciting, crowd-pleasing fighter with limited boxing skills.
Rocky, and many fighters of that day, would've been even better if they trained more. They fought alot, but they didn't train. Joey Giardello once said, "I was a natural, I didn't have to train."
I love Rocky but he could be had by guys that were good counter fighters. To say he was one of the greatest isn't to far off but style made him beatable. He just came forward... Zale and Robinson both show you how tobeat a fighter like him
@johnseeley I'm not sure but it's possible. My dad trained with many great pros of the 50s and 60s. Dad says a lot of those guys had a little different lifestyle than today. But most fighters of the old days stayed in better shape between fights. Back then you never knew when a title shot was coming.
I think that rocky graziano is one of the best fighters ever!cuz he has so much power and influence over everybody in me and my brother and his generation loves fighters like rocky.Because rocky kicks ass!!!!!!!
Rocky Graziano is widely considered the hardest middle weight punchers of all time and was also thought of as the greatest knockout artist in the history of boxing he could take a guy out with one punch its a shame hes not as well known as sugar ray or jake lamotta but he was as close to them as it came i enjoyed this video tony Janiro got beat like an ugly step child.

@troycookjr I read that Rocky used to smoke in between sparing rounds. And smoke a pack of cigarettes before a fight.
