@MrSoSad2Bad Hardly. The reactor designs are very different, and so is the situation. Chernobyl's core was destroyed and open to the elements, and fire spread a radioactive plume. The cores in Japan are intact and leakage is restricted to cooling systems. Not ideal, certainly, and with the potential for local contamination, but nothing on the scale or severity of Chernobyl.
