Apparently I really suck at this game because this strategy does not work for me at all. I can get to the Nagarajas and the last one gets through with one hit left on him every fucking time. I literally tried this about 30 times. I can get to wave 24 by myself without using this strategy but I dont have enough air attack units to defeat all the Plagues. Is it sad I cant even beat the first stage?

Y'know, I often imagined Square-Enix using the same concept of soldier building and battle strategy with the reconstruction effort in FFVII and SeeD in FFVIII as a basis for their storyline for a new compelling game. I guess something centered around Ivalice was just all the more cool to them.

this game is difficult. but is a nice experience. don't expect too much from it though, it will leave you dissapointed

pros: great tower defense game featuring final fantasy characters,

great selection of towers (characters - swordsman, dragoon, also there are crystals)

CONS: enemy pattern is always the same, which greatly reduces replayability.. also there is no endless mode.,there is no way to earn extra crystals, which make the game very hard.

This game is really underrated. Hardly anyone gives it any good reviews, but it's a high quality challenging strategy game. Yes, it could be longer, but the game is only about $10. And I have to say that for the quality it's well worth the price. And unlike games like Final Fantasy XIII, there's actually gameplay! Difficult, intricate gameplay! Instead of like in games where you'd might as well just be watching a movie, Crystal Defenders is really a game!

@EsfixLock Not really. Get Defense Grid. A little more intuitive. If you are a fan of FF though go with Crystal Defenders. Just wish there was more maps in Crystal Defenders. The later levels and characters in W2 and W3 are fun but just not enough depth.

I did this all on my Iphone, got a perfect ending up with 11486Points, with all waves cleared, 20crystal, 2591gil. You must follow every thing he does. Check and dubble check you have everthing in the right places and everything the right level. One level off a toon can really screw you up

you're supposed to set up troops to defend monster hordes from stealing your 20 crystals. Each monster steals 1 crystal, except waves 10 and 20 monsters have the ability to take 2 crystals. It's quite fun, just like the other defense games like it.

This is definitely a VERY different strategy than what I had employed... I ended up using 6 Time Mages and only 1 Thief, placed in the middle like this:

All maxed, and I passed Wave 30 but lost 2 Crystals. I will definitely try your tactic, because you definitely got the most Thief Gil for the buck =)
