Rip-offs are better than originals more often than not. The idea isn't original obviously but the improvements make the product better. It's not a crime to say that. If you sit around watching movies from the 30's and 40's, then you're classical asshole. Oh, and Citizen Kane might have made advancements in filmography, but that movie and Orson Welles are both overrated bags of shit.
I'm a fan of Tarantino, and Reservoir Dogs is one of my favourite movies, so I didn't post this to criticise him or anything. I just thought it was curious, that's all.

It's a complete ripoff, but you can't deny Tarantino directed the scene better.

@Ashloomis Tarantino definitely did it better.

@ndarcy thank you for not saying anything mean in your reply, most people on YouTube are nasty. :)

@ndarcy-I found little similarity, although I prefer "City on Fire" to "Reservoir Dogs".

@Ashloomis Well, it's no secret that Tarantino is quite knowlegeable in B-movies from all around the world, an uses them as, let's say, inspirations.

ah, back in the days when HK movies are GOOD, unlike nowadays a bunch of celebrities crapping their so-call "Humour" on the screen.

I said 'supposedly' :)
The story of Reservoir Dogs (one of my favourite movies) is, however, very similar to the last 15 or 20 minutes of 'City On Fire'.

Eh, I can see them being similar just for having a Mexican stand-off. But to call it a ripoff, nah.
