Israel would love to make peace with Syria also, even if it meant EVENTUALLY giving up much of the Golan/Shebaa.....everyone knows that..if they made peace with Syria peace with Lebanon would be inevitable, Iran would basically be neutralized, and a military solution to the existence of Israel for the Arabs would be obviously impossible even for the moronic Arab street.

Egypt is one of the few 21 century nations outside of Israel in the middle east. I don't see the the rest of the A-rabs building any great bulidings,etc. No wonder Egypt wants nothing to do with the rest of the Arab nations and I don't blame them.

I still wonder how Carter managed not to screw the peace accord up.

It was a damn shame when he was assassinated, but it didn't stop the peace deal between Israel and Egypt. It sucks to be a Fakestinian, they fire endless of pos rockets at Israel and they're always in worse position than before when Israel strikes back. Egypt won the sinai back through Peace when war didn't work, they did kick ass for a while in 1973, a one side victory takes the thrill out of it,i.e 1967 war.

I'm Egyptian and i completely agree with sadat's decision, everyone was against him but he knew what's best for us. Now we're the only arab country that got her land back from israel, they can say we're traitors as much as they want but we were smart enough to fight israel and kick their asse and then make a peace treaty, that way we got our land back without any sacrifice or humilation.

Lebanon got there land back as well from Hezbullah fighting. Sadat's peace just shattered the hopes of many Palestinians and Arabs alike, it also didn't win the majority support from Egyptians. Anyways it seems that you hate Arabs, so I can't really change your opinion about Sadat, but I don't think any real Arab person would want peace with Israel, and not just peace but both Sadat and Mubarak made diplomatic relations and trade with Israel as if it was an ally and a friend.

I believed Sadat, I believed in his wisdoms but there are people in the Middle East that refuse to realize the benefits of his leadership. For them, progress is tied in the peace accord not realizing that it is in their hands the growth of their nations...and peace is an opportunity to do so.
