Greater each time, that`s good...I `been watching at the older version...but you imroved a lot, if can.
I`ve got a little fan on reading the comment on the ending..that is, noone can nknow everithing about Rush, they`re so creative...it`s not a fault...Keep on listening to them Vaughnrush..I`m a fan since 20 years ago, and not tired about listening
Thanks again Alvabass!!!
You make me want to improve. There `s still one or two parts I must
Thank you for your comment! At that time, I had my Ric strung with Rotosound roundwounds. I remember that I tried those strings because a friend offered them to me and I liked them, but DR Hi-Beams are still my favorite strings. It's a shame that nobody carries them where I live and I must order them through Internet.
I've never heard that end riff before... was that made up by you or is it part of some secret YYZ track, anyways it sounds really cool and it was unexpected! I think I might try to learn that as well :p. Keep it up man!
Thank you for your comment! That's the intro riff for "Cygnus X-1". The guys from Toronto appended it to "YYZ" during the "Test For Echo" tour. You can hear it on the version included in the live album "Different Stages" from 1998. Thank you again!
Hey, can ask, what color is your Rickenbacker? It looks alot darker than a normal fireglo, and its not a jetglo, so what is it? Thanks, and awesome playing!
It seems like playing so close to the bridge isn't doing you any favors. It seems like it might be good for you to take off the pickup cover and play more in the middle of the body. It just sounds like your playing could be a bit cleaner.
FOR EVERYONE ELSE, we went to school together in the early 80's and it's so awesome to hear him play...I am a RUSH Fan, and I just heard from Alvaro for the first time in for over 25 years...
Well, I still have to work on my speed, and the best way to do it is using a metronome, man. Start practicing slowly and gradually increase speed. For a great free metronome, just Google "Weird Metronome". Thank you for your comment!
Hola, Seb. :)
What bass do you recommend for me to get later? I got a firend who is suggesting me to get a better bass asap (I got a Behringer from a starter pack xD) Still nice playing and what bass do you recommend?
Hey man, Yamaha and Ibanez are brands with a very consistent quality control. Even the cheapest models are very well built instruments. I think you should consider those options.
Another budget instrument from which I've read really good reviews is the Vintage Modified (VM) series from Squier. Maybe you should try one of those. :)
woohoo first watch and comment...nice bass playing as always man. Is that a Rickenbacker or your Peavey? I don't know. still learning all the bass companies and models.
for a sec i thought that the keyboard guy was like in a room next to you or something or under the wall lol

Thank you so much for your comment! It's a FireGlo Ric. The color hasn't been altered in any way.

Hey Alva,
Great to see a new video from you. I just this crazy idea. If you have 2 amps, you should do a video with your Rick bi-amped. :O

Umm a question from a noob to a pro :P
How do you tell what kind of bass it is? Like IBanez605 2004 (made-up xD) HOw do you tell that, only way I know how to tell is by the head :P
wesman2232 3 years ago
Exactly, man. Unless you are very familiar with a particular instrument, the only way to know the exact model is looking at the headstock.
Alvabass 3 years ago
ah, ok. Thanks man.

nice playing there. Im a beginner at bass :P
