  • @eirdway I have seen them on Indian instruments but somehow thought they'd be unstable and move around easily. I am sure i was wrong. i will give them a try just because they can be so fast. The micro tuners are great too.

  • BOTH OF THESE ARE GREAT,

    BUT I THINK THE FUTURE

    LIES IN THE "PEGHEDS"

    (KNILLING PERFECTION

    PLANETARY PEGS)

  • @eirdway @eirdway Thanks for the info but they won't work for a persian setar. There isn't enough space and the bridge is too low. I own an Indian sitar. On a sitar, the bridge sits pretty high which increases the string tension, specially on the back side where the beads are. Also, I don't see any asthetic faults with the finetuners. They're used on all kinds of instruments and function perfectly, which is nice if you don't want to spend a long time tuning.

  • @eirdway

The tuners are not expensive and they work perfectly for this purpose.

  • I am very happy to see this video. good job!

improving the instruments to keep them alive.

I myself have done innovations on the design of Santur mallets.

  • Thanks. You should probably make a video about your innovations as well. I enjoyed the vidoes.

  • thanks, those videos are kinda old. I will soon post new videos of both the innovations and the music

  • Great great idea. Every Setar and eventually every Tar needs this. Thanks to you and Thanks to GoodCyrus who has installed them on the sound board. I believe sound board is a better idea as it is hidden and also it does not change the weight of the neck. Again, excellent idea.

  • @Meaneradicator

Thank you. I like your videos too. The only reason why I didn't put my finetuners on the soundboard is that I don't know if they'll affect the soundboard in a negative way or not. The setar soundboard is very delicate. Also, the tuners can scratch the finish. They don't add any weight to the neck at all if they're on the peghead end. But yes, it's a simple solution to a big problem in tuning instruments that use tuning pegs.

  • Wow, This is really really a good idea. I install them today on all of my Setar-Strings and it is great. Many many thanks.

  • You're welcom!

  • what about taar?

  • I am sure the tuners can be used for Taars too. They need to be put on the other end where the string catcher is (simgir).

  • i will give it a try thanks

  • I have them now on all my instruments. You can see them in my last video. I put them on the sound board. thanks again!

  • SOLD!

    This is great!

    THANKS SO MUCH!

  • You're welcome. Glad I could hlep. I liked your videos too.

  • very interesting

  • 5 stars! But the rating is disabled. Thanks for the upload. When you mentioned the idea before, I was not sure how they would fit on the tiny setar sarpanjeh area. But they look pretty good.

Just an idea for all folks making videos with detail for upload: natural outdoor light) really makes for more clear images. just an idea.

  • Thanks Cyrus. First video for me so also thanks for the pointers. I did have some natural light but it didn't help.
