  • What if you have a laptop with no num. pad?

  • Most—if not all—notebook keyboards have a number-pad mode. In some cases it involves the Fn key or whatnot. On my ThinkPad i type num-lock (which is shift-scroll-lock on that keyboard); then 7,8,9 and the letters below them become the num-pad, and i can type alt-codes or do any other num-pad activity.

  • how do i get the text back

  • re-rename the file to get it back

  • That is so cool!!! I did not know that. Ooo a hidden folder.

  • no, it finally worked but nobody said, that you gotta use LEFT alt key !!!!

  • Oooh. Let me guess: non-US keyboard layout. The right alt key becomes altgr in that case, and you have to use the left one. Slight oversight on Chris' part.

  • bullshit, not work on laptop even with screenpad

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!

ive searched for hours lookin how 2 delete a hidden file

    THANK YOU!!@!!

  • you can just right click

    property and then tick hidden

    it disapears

and if u wanna see it go

    to

    the folder and

    type the folder

    for example C:desktop/(folder name)

  • its not working for me the invisible folder im pressing and holoding the alt button and then on my laptop i press 0160

  • For those of you that have a problem deleting this file, remeber to copy the cmd.exe file to where you actually put the "alt+0160" from the start, like this:

(in this example i chose to put it onto the desktop)

search for cmd -> copy it and paste it onto the desktop -> then run the command prompt with admin status from there with the

ren " " "random name here"

  • Hey im having troubles deleting it :( wats the cmd.exe file??

  • i found cmd and im outting everything the vid says and its still not fricken working

  • boo radlye, just finished reading that book for school

  • In OS X you can simply put a space as the folder name and it appears to have no text.

  • There is no num pad on laptop :(

  • same

  • check a function

    mines fn-->scroll lock

then my keys get replaced with numbers

    ex:

    then 0y 2eys get re*3aced w5th n40bers

  • i know now,no point with invisible folders anyway...all you hav to do is hover mouse over position and it shows up...

  • so it just a little trick no need to bash it

i bet if you showed a little kid he'd think you were the coolest thing since Pokemon..

    i like it.. :)

but there really isnt a point

if you truly wanted to make it invisible you would have to enable its hidden attribute but thats pointless also

  • Yeah, dont get me wrong! This was a really good tut for peeps who wanna do it =)

  • This is an old trick.

  • How to rename it and delete:

  • that is an awesome tip, thanks a lot chris!

  • hehehehe boo radley.

  • Its didnt work..

    The 0161 part.
