can u tell me something? i, yes, tried the soda can technique, didn't work....can u give me any advice on what i can use, or make, that will pick a combo lock??
its actually not a bend, the pick is just shaped that way. If you draw it out on the stainless you can cut it so there is a "bend" there, even though its not actually bent. Make sense?
thanks, actually i just started this the other day. my friend had a bunch of used windshield wipers so i got the inserts and just messed around with a few ideas until i got the desired results. making tension wrenches is super easy, but the picks take a little more patience.
to cut them i actually just bent it back and forth with some pliers, it sounds ghetto but it actually breaks it off pretty cleanly and faster than a dremel. Then I ground them down with the dremel and a #8175 grinding wheel. To make the pick I just used the corner of the grinding wheel and slowly removed metal until i had the desired shape
i tried bending mine and those fuckers just wouldnt break off they just kept bending and they wouldnt even break off with wire cutters so i had to use a dremmel
nice picks, wat was the difference betwenn your slimline tension wrenches and your regular ones?? i also made that offfset half ball out of windshield wiper insert and it works wonderfully but sadly i lost it. ='[
the slimline wrenches are about half as wide as the regular ones, so they can fit into smaller keyways. they also make good spacers when used in addition to a regular wrench if the keyway is too large
o...yea i needed a spacer when worken with the ACE 40mm cuz the windshield wiper tension wrench was just to skinny and it twisted all the way around in the lock

Where'd you score so many wiper inserts?
atomicmufin 4 years ago
My friend kept all his used wipers from the past few years and I found them in his garage.

They do look awesome, how did u make the downwards bend for the offset pick?
But anyways, the pick sounds very interesting. Thanks!

Yea that makes sense. I would have to include an incline in the pick template and grind it out as such. Thanks, awsome video!
