R.I.P. Linda's death July 8 2009

Ik it's hard to loose a pet. I lost 3 budgies in the past 6 months. It's horrible :(

R.I.P Linda, blue,whisper, and lulu.

Blue died Sunday morning :(

She is the 'carbon copy' of my Budgie Hen, Sindy. She lost her mate, Dexter this morning. At the end he was exactly like Linda was when she was passing away. He did also have a few fits, with his head and tail tilted back, flapping his wings. I don't know if it's sunk in with Sindy yet. I just hope she doesn't die of a broken heart...

@rudford123 My second parrakeet died yesterdaybut had gradualy became weaker over the past 2 weeks, She was getting on but found her in the morning and had obviosly died in her sleep because of where she was :(.. my other male parakeet died in november, he had a tumor but had it removed but sadly died when we brought him home.. its realy awful to see a bird of whom you have looked after for so many years just die in your hands.. I know this is a very sad moment and every pet handler has to go through with this, but I have a question; What did you do with the body?

I believe that you buried Linda in a box, right? Because I have heard that some people stuff their birds into a position that makes them look so lifelike, it seems like they are alive. I have also heard some take the bones and arrange them in a natural pose. Just wondering, because my bird is old and am really not sure what to do with the body

That's so so sad, my parakeet sunny like that. I was going to make lunch one day and she was on the bottom of her cage, I dropped everything to check if she was alive and she was but she dying, I tried to call my cousin to have her take her to the vet but it was too late. She stayed with me for about an hour in a condition like that, she rested her beak on my finger as I held her and then she died. It makes me cry just to type this, she and sky (who lived a few months more) were my first pets.

@haider22122 Oh my gosh...my cockatiel Cookie did that the day he died! I was changing his food dish and normally he hops off it, but he just fell to the bottom of the cage...we put him in a box with a cloth and covered it half way and put a heating pad on low on one half of it, and we gave him food and water in shallow dishes...we went to church and shopping, and by 10 o'clock, he was dead. RIP Cookie, the most affectionate cockatiel ever ♥
