  • i love this band and i love this song :).. i like how he rhymes and sings fast to it (: .. also, i'm not surprised he has a cigarette in his hand ;-} lol but still they rock and beat/kick other band's butts that i know :D... Psychedelic Furs fan 4ever!! <3

  • absolutely beautiful !

  • Amazing, now that they are reaching back into their early material and touring with Talk Talk Talk in its entirety and a sax player they should consider touring next year the entire first album. Only downside is that they do not have John on guitar and they have snuck that damn keyboard into the early songs where it has no right to be.

  • my heart goes out to deaf people who cant hear this.obviously some poor deaf person has stumbled onto this video.if you dont believe me just look and you will see that a deaf person has rated this poorly.you must feel sorry for the deaf and those who are mentally\musically challenged

  • Brilliance! (though the sound is a bit wonky)

  • hiya, tony.i don't know why, when i send a comment it comes up under your name ,but for some strange reason it does.if this is you ,.yeah it was kinda cool, butler doing his fake wank and iggy wobbling the p.a..security were shitting it..or are you teden20?.see ya mick.my e mail is deadmanmik@live.com

  • That was amazing and I loved the ending.

  • good one they were great on stage when they played before iggy at the city hall.a few well thought of bands there to watch.penetration.punilux etc.why else visit newcastle before half of them moved here.deadman mik

  • @tonyhoward07 shit fire baby. they opened for Iggy there too? i mean, i was looking for tickets for Iggy, but everyplace he played in London, the Furs (or Fuzz) opened. How fucking cool is that?

  • This has always been my favorite Furs song. I am so sorry they NEVER play this live anymore. I "met" them on the Book of Days tour in Hollywood (outside the Pantages) and told John Ashton he should play this song and he said, "ok" but in all the times I've seen them they never did!

  • ace

  • Richard reminds me of Johnny Rotten in this one, but that's OK I like both of em.

  • right the fucj\k on

  • i love this song!!!

    We FALL!

  • This band's early stuff has stood the test of time. Amazing1

  • saw them circa 1982 twice in one weekend at Harper Jr. College in suburban Chicago then at the Riviera Theater in Chicago the next night, the Talk Talk Talk tour, they played almost the entire first album, amazing. sw them a year later at the Aragon with Depeche Mode and Our Daughters Wedding. Great times.

  • Salem State College, same tour. Me and buddies got arrested later that night in Pebody, Ma. for raising hell - inspired by Furs! More parties for your stupid friends!

  • My God!!! MY VERY FIRST CONCERT EVER ( back in '83 ) was the AMAZING Mr. Butler & company... One of their "opening acts" was "Our Daughter's Wedding" and it SEALED MY FATE!!! ( at 13 years old!!! right around the time when I DITCHED fucking "mainstream radio" in favor of "college radio" and NEVER looked back!!! What an INCREDIBLE band and INCREDIBLE memories!!!!) And by the way I'm looking for "Our Daughter's Wedding" videos here on You Tube, so if anyone's got "Love Machine" upload it ASAP!!!

  • OMG....i saw Our Daughters Wedding open for them in 83.....they were good too

  • Saw them support Iggy at the Apollo Theatre Manchester UK on 8th February 1980. Their classic was India....no question.

  • The pace of the music, the approach to the guitar and sax, the drive of the bass and attack of the drums, the snide commentary of RB's lyrics -- this song floors me every time. Love the repeat of the attack "marry me and be my wife, you can have me all your life, our love will never end, parties for our stupid friends... are the children really home, we will lie upon the lawn, needles on the beach at Goa, we will have another flower..." up to the great close, "our love will have no end.' BANG.

  • Saw them at Salem State College in 1984(?). Phenomenal.

  • Fantastic. I have been seeing the Furs live since '87 and have never seen them perform this. Thanks for uploading. Now, if only this were available in high def on DVD...

  • I saw them on that first tour at a little club in Northampton, MA named Rahar's. The place fit about 150 comfortably, and that's about how many were there, PsyFurs had such a huge presence in that little place, probably the best concert experience I ever had.

  • They were at The Pearl Club 20 years ago! I was there when I was student at UMass!

  • I loved Rahar's. So much great music happened there. Your mention of it brings back the smell of the place in my memory, stale beer and sweat on a dusty wood floor.

  • Now where did i put them 3D glasses?

One of the Furs' very best.

  • much imitated - never duplicated

  • what is a guitar in 1:25???

    i love that guitar

    i love that band

    great song...

  • PRS strat with double hums me thinks.

  • hey gard gold- i not only was lucky enough to catch them live @ tuts on their 1st tour but WXRT (chicago's premiere radio station for those of you joining in 30 or so years later) taped that show and i've got a live recording as well as you do. i wouldn't be surprised if it's the same recording. love the 'powerfully snide' line. b/t/w butler has a daughter with the middle name of mozart- not son as stated earlier.

  • Don't go giving WXRT any more credit than they deserve. Yes, thirty years ago it was a great station, today it's as dull as can be. Deep album tracks? Please. Lemme ask you-do they play any Psychedelic Furs anymore, besides Love My Way or Heaven? Anything from the first album? Nahhh...

  • BTW, anyone catch that great dig on John Lennon in "Pulse". "This is the pulse of fools like you, who sound so red and turn so blue, the sound of uselessness in song, the...

... 'war is over' if you want." Beautiful.

  • butler s/b called 'a non pee-pee smooching' rather than a poor man's bowie in my humble opinion...........btw he lives in NY and has a son called mozart

  • i saw their first tour at a small club called tuts in chicago- unreal show. have seen them a handful of times since then as well as buying all of their vinyl. while their first two albums were the best and they did change their style over the years, dismissing the latter part of their career is an easy over-characterization and myopic as well. you might not know that working with a man considered by many in the industry to be a genius (todd rundgren) doesn't suck- you do.

  • TUTS!!! Thank God for the web!!! I have a bootleg of that show!!!!!!! It is one of my most cherished musical possessions. It's truly incredible! The way Richard Butler slams it home on "Flowers" and "We Love You". So powerfully snide! This vid here is a wonderful testament to their caustic and creative force!

  • I first saw them in 81...fantastic show...they played every number from the first 2 LPs (all that they had at the time) and had to repeat a few songs for encores. Nobody cared, it was just amazing.

  • Richard Butler,the poor man's Bowie (circa 1980-81).It was a great time...happy I was there.

  • i cant believe hes smoking a butt imagine singing a song like that while taking drags off a cig. id be weezing so bad.

  • "I will have a heart attack and FALLLLLLL...."

  • amazing. this is from the first album? id never heard this wish id been at that show. iggy was just as good if not better those are two great bands to see. need to build a time machine and go back to the 70s.

  • Wow. Unglaublich...

  • The business - saw them live in 1979 supporting Iggy Pop - blew my mind!
