@SlackerTheory The best songs are simple, which is why the energy can be bigger during the shows cuz they can actually move around and not have to worry about whether or not they can cram 5000 notes in. Granted, I like fast leads, but there aint a reason to do them all the time. I'd want people to play my music, not to wonder and get defeated by too much technique

WHAT I MEANT IN MY PREVIOUS COMMENT WAS...

A guitar neck in itself usually has a separate ~ 1/5 inch thick piece of wood called the fretboard, fingerboard etc.glued onto it. I'm sure we all know that. But this guitar, however, did not has this feature, there was only one piece of maple acting as the neck and the fingerboard.

Fender also offers a one piece maple neck as an option. No glued on fretboard. Neck face IS fretboard. I just played one this afternoon with a friend that was over to buy a guitar. Anyway that type neck produces a super hard, well defined sound. Mine is rock maple and it's super fast. Most of my guitars, including my Telecaster have glued on fret boards in either maple or rosewood. Some have ebony. There are dozens of other very dense, hard woods that are used. Rosewood is most common.
