You need to understand that God hates sin, not the sinner. Jesus had a very strict moral code. Love does not mean that you accept everything coming down the pike in the name of love. You take your stand against sin and encourage the sinner to forsake this lifestyle and turn to God in repentance. That doesn't mean that you hate them.
