I noticed, that she foregot to mention that if you can it's a good idea to wash the fabric before you cut it. With the blue fabric she used, I don't think you're supposeto wash it. But you could wash the balck. Look at where the price per. yard is to see how to wash it. Sorry if this seems a little rude, I'm just trying to let people know to wash fabric before you work with it. That way, when you do wash it, the sceams don't come appart.
@SailorFireStar1 No problem, I've been sewing for a while. I just had a problem understanding the pattern's instructions. I'm probibly gonna use this pattern if I ever make another pleated skirt, like I did for Kagome. Thanks for the simplier instructions to follow.
Hi SailorFireStar1, I'm a complete beginner at sewing with patterns as well and I was wondering if we could get in touch so I can mooch some advice off of you! You're a bit more ahead of me, and the only thing I have going for me is I know a bit of sewing from when I sewed quilts and free form bags. I would love if you could get back to me. I have plenty of questions! Thanks!
Hee hee. My pets often get in the way when I'm cutting the fabric. Also thanks for this. I'm using the same pattern for my Baby Doll cosplay and I was getting a little confused by it.
@SailorFireStar1 You're not annoying don't listen to that person. People who waste their life putting mean comments on youtube are pathetic and annoying!!!
If you have a Joann's Fabrics near where you live they have an amazing scissors brand called Ginghers they are slightly on the expensive side but well worth the price with how nice of a cut they make
How do you make measurements?
