@thenoobfactor Yes, it's true the US Army did well and won most battles and inflicted most losses. So did the South in the Civil War, and so did the Germans in both World Wars. However, inflicting losses is not enough to win. Ultimately your cause must be a moral one. That of the US in Vietnam was not, hence the lack of a will to win. Same goes for Iraq and Afghanistan. Both those wars will also be lost. I now live and work in Vietnam. Hard to think we killed these happy people.

And I never said anything about the other 3, but Afganistan can never be won by anyone, it will always be backward and irrevelent. Egypt was simply a internal affair, the West had little to do with it, and no real military involvement. Libya is similar, though more violent and supported by a half assed bombing campaign.

I know people say, "we didn't loose the vietnam war...we quit because of the politicians". Well anyway you parse it....we left and the North took over. In other words we lost. PERIOD. Now I totally respect the soldiers but this is a war we should never have been in and it seems we just don't learn our lesson. @thenoobfactor Yes, it's true the US Army did well and won most battles and inflicted most losses. So did the South in the Civil War, and so did the Germans in both World Wars. However, inflicting losses is not enough to win. Ultimately your cause must be a moral one. That of the US in Vietnam was not, hence the lack of a will to win. Same goes for Iraq and Afghanistan. Both those wars will also be lost. I now live and work in Vietnam. Hard to think we killed these happy people.

And I never said anything about the other 3, but Afganistan can never be won by anyone, it will always be backward and irrevelent. Egypt was simply a internal affair, the West had little to do with it, and no real military involvement. Libya is similar, though more violent and supported by a half assed bombing campaign.

This is why Israel has nukes and would use a tactical nuke on the Aswan Dam. I served with the IDF. It is not the most effective force. It is full of conscripts. It has the latest wpns and has the huge advantage of what we in the military call 'internal lines'. However, in the end numbers count. US pays Egypt not to threaten.

The difference between Isreal and the Arabs is that the Arabs have faith that their god and numbers will win them the war, so they train for the victory parade. Isreal prepares to actually achieve victory. In 1967 Isreali Sherman tanks were beating the more advanced T55s used by the Egyptians.

North Vietnam was forced to sign the Paris Peace Accords thus ending the war. The US then left, but three years later the South Vietnamese lost. The North did not abide by the Accords--North Vietnam has no honor and will live in infamy and shame forever. North Vietnam is so weak that nowadays it has to rely on the USA as its primary investment partner.

i do understand how you feel toward the United States. unfortunately, every war has had civilian deaths and some have a large amount of civilian casualties, such as Vietnam and World War 2. Even though the United States has and still is committing inhumane acts (eg guantanamo bay), they have undoubtly committed a low level of atroceties. think of the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, China, Roman Empire, the crusades etc. every country has done bad things but we have to be sure history doesnt repeat

He said after a tank was destroyed by some North Koreans there were some small Korean children laughing on the bank. A british officer walked over to the children took out his service pistol and killed them both.
