  • My fine hair doesn't need the BKHair Taming Treatment; but their serum and leave-in spray are sounding better and better. I didn't expect the InStyler to be so hot. So, I use it on low and move fast. ( : ))

  • Now I see why your hair has been looking so great lately. Your hair looks great.

  • Its probably more blonde because the guy has straightened it to death and its burnt and got thin lol.

  • The formaldehyde is wats stinging ur eyes it's bein banned in Europe bc it's so dangerous the fumes off it that's why u felt unwel xxxx

  • It looks great!! could u do it to urself? My hair isn't exactly like yours tho, b'cuz it's really long so a lot of the weight is pulled out - I have lots of hair but it's not coarse, just frizzy: would this get rid of the frizz without getting rid of a volume?

  • My hair is just like yours and I am getting this done in May! Thanks for making this!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • how much did you pay? i have to get this done...my hair is EXACTLY like yours...

  • Your poor hair!!! The straightening at the end is HORRIBLE for your hair. Flat ironing it that much is super bad for your hair. Your curls looked so natural and beautiful before. If you would only let your hair go natural and grow out the damage it would look perfect. I chemically straightened my hair (it was long though, longer than yours) and it toke me almost two years to grow back out my natural hair. Let your self go curly it will be the best thing you ever did.

  • Hm, I really wonder how wavy your natural hair would be if you treated it accordingly (no blow drying, brushing through it). I have very curly hair myself and never felt the need to get it straightened because it would look crazy keeping it natural or anything.

Happy for you though, as you liked the result so much :)

  • your wallpaper's so cool! :)

  • I REALLY WANT TO GET THIS DONE!!

  • Your hair looks amazing! Blonde suits you :-)

  • maybe next time you should try hair rebonding treatment...it makes your hair shiny and straight even its just air-dried

  • You're sooo pretty! :) I do kinda miss the red hair, though.. But blonde looks great on you too, you could probably pull off any hair color :)

  • There's a similar process called rebonding. I had to wait for my friend who was having it done for six hours.

  • How does your hair look now if you would to wear it natural without straighten it. Will it make curly hair less frizy and look better.

  • i know its an odd question to ask but im getting this done.. so for the 48 hours how did you wash your body ? did you just take a bath or something ?

( i know a weird question but yea lol)

  • @MsSilentlyScreaming you could try using a shower cap depending on how long your hair is... if it's really long then i guess take a bath??

  • i got something like this once... in late june i got my hair japanese straightened. the treatment took 7 hours, and i couldn't wash my hair for 5 days, but it will keep my hair straight for 8 - 12 months. the chemicals smelled horrible and i did have to sit under one of those big blow dryer things. but it was worth it. my hair was perfectly pin straight, and it still is about 6 months later, except for the new hair that is growing in. i have about 2 inches of waves under my hair but thats it.

  • Have you ever tried Ojon or Carol's daughter products? They do good stuff for thick hair.

  • I tweeted! Thank you!

  • How damaging is it?

  • I was told by a hair stylist yesterday that during the time we are waiting to wash the keratin out (like 24-72 hrs) we are supposed to be straightening it. The more we apply heat, the stronger the keratin adheres to our hair and will last longer. I never knew that!

  • piercing vid!

  • I just entered! Yay! Thanks for the heads up on the sweepstakes! Anyways, your hair looked amaaazing in the finished product, and I would love nothing more then to have my hair behave like that! I definitely need to get a treatment on it.

  • I have the EXACT same hair type. At the beginning when you were telling us what type of hair you have, I was mouthing what mine is and I said the same thing you did lol

  • ahhhhhhh youre so cute <333

did you know youre on a lot of top make up guru lists? :)

    keep it up!

  • @xsparkage How long does the treatment "last" before you need another one?

  • So on CTV news last night they listed 10 different keratin blow out systems that have formaldahyde in them. The brazlian blow out came in at 7 % formaldahyde with the gk system coming behnd it at 4%. soooo bad for you. Sorry :(

  • @makeupbymichelle

I dunno I think if it was something you did all time it would be a big deal. But really many people smoke cigarettes and yes they are horrible but they also have formaldehyde but no ones pulling them off the shelves. Just my opinion everyone's different I guess.

  • Next time you should go to the salon with googles.

  • I got the Global Keratin done on my hair and it took around 4 or 5 hours all up... and my hair isn't really thick at all, it's huge because it's frizzy but there's not actually that much of it strand-wise! I can't believe yours was so quick compared to mine! I guess my hair is a little bit longer than yours but still... I wish mine didn't take so long or I would get it done a lot more often! Mine cost around $400.

  • @xdianamassacrex she moved to Austin, from Arizona recently.

  • hahaha i just noticed ur room has a polka dot wallpaper after like 10000 years lool :)

  • i've gotten this treatment before and i had super curly hair before, i was disappointed because for almost a year after it didnt go back to normal, so i learned to love my curly hair out of it!

  • can u please do a video on how u got ur hair so blonde?? please?

  • how long will it last?

    how much was it?

  • my hair is frizzy like that too...it used to be silky n then it just went poof...my iron is cheap =(

  • What do you use to bleach your hair? Or dye your hair blonde?? Thanx :)

  • I love Wet salon!

  • @lahomegurljesse13 It all depends on where you get it done, how long your hair is and how thick your hair is too. Oh, and what product/brand of keratin treatment they use. ie: mine took almost 5 hours to do and it's not even that long. They used Global Keratin brand on me. It was good, so are the after-care products from the Global brand. Some salons will charge $200 for short-medium hair, some might charge $300... I have med. length hair & thin-medium thickness & mine still cost $400 all up.

  • WOAH, Leesha! You hair was to die for after the treatment!

  • Something that I would like to see you do is make looks/tutorials for the seven sins. ^_^ Pride, envy, lust, greed, wrath, gluttony, and sloth.

  • @tayadragon555 check out petrilude

  • @tayadragon555 Petrilude did them before, so you could check out his. :) But I too would love to see Leesha do them as well!

  • Oh thats cool. But how long shall this last? Can I compare it with a permanent wave? My sister has really really frizzy hair to and that would be exactly her thing :)

  • @ScrapySweet It's amazing! But it does eventually "wash" out... (some say 5 or 6 months, but mine lasted 3 and a half months) ... maybe a few weeks more but doesn't look AS perfect! Don't speed up the process of it fading back to your normal hair texture by using normal shampoos and products. Make sure you use the products they recommend to you - you have to use shampoo that contains no sulfates or sodiums at all... Global Keratin products are great. But there are some cheaper alternatives.

  • Ah.. such an angel. I am like .. totally a dude, kinda metro, but fairly masculine. And I still watch all of these vids for this beautiful lady here. Though some of them are truly helpful to me, hair treatment etc.

  • your hair is beautiful! ;)

  • Leesha, is that your hair color naturally?

  • btw whaaaat?! mine took 3 1/2 hrs! I have ALLLOOOT of thick hair and it's super long too

  • @Paolagirlll mine took almost 5 hours to do and it's not even that long. They used Global Keratin brand on me. It was good, so are the after-care products from the Global brand. Some salons will charge $200 for short-medium hair, some might charge $300... I have med. length hair & thin-medium thickness & mine still cost $400 all up.

  • @itsageoffrushthing yeah I have the after care products. including the shampoo and conditioner. i'm definitely getting this done again. it saves me so much time and I <3 it.

  • I got it done in may and I loved it :) gonna do it again in a couple weeks!

  • Doesn't all that straightening defeat the purpose? He went over each, thin section of hair at least 20 times....that's so incredibly damaging. Its going to make your hair even frizzier and wiry. I would be very careful with that, Leesha. Its seems like it does way more harm than good in the long run. That treatment seems like something you'd have to keep doing once you start, cause the damage will get worse and worse...only it'll eventually make your hair break off in masses.

  • Is this similar to the Brazilian blowout?

  • @mintycherub yes, most of these are the same thing. Or similar. They just have different brands - there are so many of them out there. ie: Global Keratin, Coppola, Brazillian etc etc... but most of them use pretty much the exact same process but it's just that the product is made by a different brand/company. GK works amazingly well though. So do their after-care products.

  • Be careful when getting these kinds of straightening treatments to your hair. Today on the Dr. Oz show, he was talking about treatments that contained over the legal limit of formaldehyde. It was causing health problems for the women getting them done such as nose bleeding. Most products contain a small, safe amount, but others are WAY over the limit. So just do some research before getting it done.

  • @Danibug1019 The Global Keratin brand that I had is completely formaldehyde-free. Most of them (the good brands!) are now.

  • OMG you have the same kind of hair as me

  • @monicasocal have you ever thought that she has hundreds of comments to read? thousand of subscriber critiquing her constantly? maybe she doesnt have time to be adding smiley faces and small talk to comments just to validate those people who are so completely devoid of any substance themselves that they cant acknowledge that leesha is the same person in the videos as she is in comments. but thats okay. im sure you understand with your two subscribers and all.

  • Wow ur hair looks great :) I really wanna get this coz i recently started dying my hair blonde so its kinda gotten a bit damaged and i think this would really help :) .

  • ok so it's different from the brazillian blowout? What's the difference? Also about how long does the treatment last and how much does it cost?

  • @LillyoftheValley20 Same thing, different brand. There are so many different brands out there who make the products for the keratin treatment. ie: Global Keratin, Coppola, Brazillian etc etc.

  • @LillyoftheValley20 p.s: It all depends on where you get it done, how long your hair is & how thick your hair is. Oh, and what product/brand of keratin treatment they use. ie: mine took almost 5 hours to do and it's not even that long. They used Global Keratin brand on me. • i know i am probably the only one who thinks this but i miss ur old red hair...i mean dont get me worng u look cute as a blonde:)...plus i can only imagine how anoying it would had been maintaing colour treated hair..but it seemed like red hair was ur thing...like it suited u soo well and u pulled it off perfectly...but as long as ur happy and everything ..i mean thats truly what matters b/c well its ur hair duhh lol ...and like i said u still look supr cute..

  • how often do u hve 2 get this treatment done and how much duz it cost???PLEASE ANSWER!!

  • @rocketzigzag hey I had it done in FL... it cost 200 bucks... and it lasts ( my lady told me) anywhere up to 4 months.. depending how well you take care of it. :)

  • @Qbanmami379 ok, thanks so much!!(:

  • @rocketzigzag It all depends on where you get it done, how long your hair is and how thick your hair is too. Oh, and what product/brand of keratin treatment they use. ie: mine took almost 5 hours to do and it's not even that long. They used Global Keratin brand on me. • @itsageoffrushthing ok, thanx a lot!

  • I looove the keratin treatment! My hair was just like yours before the treatment and after I got it done, it made such a difference! I've had it for about 6 months now, and I don't know how I ever lived without it! It is seriously one of the BEST things I have ever done for my hair. It will make your life so much easier. =]

  • You should wrap your hair at night

  • You should get a relaxer

  • @MotherCabrini Keratin treatments are better than relaxers. Keratins rock!

  • weird question. what does it smell like? is there an obvious aftersmell? since you can't wash it for two days? will I be knocking people down with the fumes?

  • @artax99 it actually smelled like a strawberry milkshake!

  • very nice indeed hopefully I can get it done C:

  • hey i know what you're going through, i have te same problem with my hair. cuz it is a mix of frizz and normal hair. so i have the same problem as you ! so i am glad you put this up. thank you ! much love ! <3 xx

  • how long will this last? :)

  • @k4thL It all depends on where you get it done, how long your hair is and how thick your hair is too. Oh, and what product/brand of keratin treatment they use. ie: mine took almost 5 hours to do and it's not even that long. They used Global Keratin brand on me. • Are you using the Ion flat iron? I know it get's up to 450 :D

I used to have one! Loved it!

  • is Tyler her boyfriend? haha

  • I would totally do it for $300! My hair is frizzy like yours but probably not as thick, and a lot of times straightening my hair is useless because I go outside and it poofs right back up, depending on the weather. Winter is a better season for my hair because there is no humidity, but then again my hair gets staticy. Summer, forget it. :P

  • im so excited for you! ahhh hopefully it works for you- you look very pretty :)

  • that "burning" in your eyes was the formaldehyde. have fun with that. :)

  • @jinx1120 The Global Keratin is now formaldehyde-free.

  • i have the same type of hair as you, but mine is wavy/curly too :c

  • how did you find the salon that you went to? I went to their website and theres no vendors in my city or the surrounding ones (I even looked as far as san fransisco and there arent any listed there either)

  • Wow, that is BIG! haha, my hair's really really thin, but I'm not sure which hair type is worse!

  • OMG YOU LOOK GORGEOUS!!!!! WOW that's AMAZING seriously how do I get a treatment like that hehe :) :) :) Love it!!

  • yup same as my hair too :)

  • Soon you will completely spoil your hair, this treatment is too aggressive... in my opinion your wavy hair is nice .. you could have care your natural hair to keep it healthy.. i don't see the trouble here.. a health, clean hair is the best option. The color is all right.

It will be very difficult to restore the health of your hair, you'll see.

  • @tranvozcaya Keratin is actually good for your hair... one of the few things that is, actually!

  • i had the keratin treatment as well and its the best money i ever spent. oddly enough though i find it is way straighter and smoother if i just let it air dry throughout the day as opposed to blow drying it. that may be down to my poor blowdrying skills but something to try? or as he said sleeping with it wet tends to give nice smooth waves.

  • i had my hair done some what the same as yours 7 months ago and it still looks as pretty and straight as to how it was right after the treatment and just so you know i shower and shampoo my hair everyday.

but i forgot whats the name of the treament i had!

    hehehe

  • can you do a review on biolustre? i heard so much good things on it but i dont know and want your opinion!

  • ur hair looks way good!

  • is this giveaway worldwide?

  • it also depends on the way hair is cut....

  • I think it turned out very pretty :) You seem happy with it and it looks healthy and shiny. 5-7 minutes of blowdrying sounds wonderful to me! My hair is not nearly as course as yours, but it takes about 15-30 minutes sometimes to dry depending on if I let it dry halfway or not. bleh!

  • My hair is EXACTLY like urs :) cuz mine is hard to manage, naturally curly and after I wash it and let it air dry it goes all frizzy and after I brush it, it just goes PoOf! :)

But I haven't dyed my hair or anything like that :)

  • Your hair looked so good!

  • Love my Keratin treatment! I've gotten it done twice now. Hope it has helped tame your hair, Leesha! :D

  • your hair really isn't different from a lot of people's hair- curly hair is a dominant gene, so more people have curly hair than say straight hair or even wavy hair. frizzies is common! It sucks v.v

  • How much does this treatment cost, and is this treatment common to find in salons??

  • @SugarDekay The average cost is about $300 but I'm not sure if it is common in salons.

  • @SugarDekay It all depends on where you get it done, how long your hair is and how thick your hair is too. Oh, and what product/brand of keratin treatment they use. ie: mine took almost 5 hours to do and it's not even that long. They used Global Keratin brand on me. • you seem very unfriendly the way you reply to people's comments.

  • @monicasocal I like her videos but I agree with you there.

  • why does he have to go over it with the straightener that many time?! that's crazy!

  • @plumpkinpatch It's not crazy... it's 'pushing' the product (the keratin) into the hair. There's SO much thick product on the hair from when the stylist applies it that the heat doesn't get through the same way it would if you were just straightening/flat ironing hair normally, like you'd do if you were just getting it straight. It has to be 'heated in' or the treatment will not last. Keratin is actually good for the hair.... one of the few things that is, actually! :D

  • Wow! Your hair looks sooo beautiful!

  • the background music totally reminded me of Natalie Tran. Porno music/comment time!

  • is it possible to use the same thing to make your hair curl without getting a perm?

  • yeahh the brazilian one had like formaldehyde or some crap in it. This is ALOT like this treatment called Anti Curl that Rusk makes.

  • @alexisdmicaedu Global Keratin (the brand) this one that Leesha had done is formaldehyde-free now. So are many others nowadays.

  • Your hair looks amazing :)

My friend had this treatment not with that product I dont think but his hair was super curly and really short because the curls were that tight but now his hair is straight and alot more managable. Im glad you found something that has worked for your hair.

  • you

    are so

    gorgeous

  • u havent done a tut in soo long!

  • @Angela1Kat i put one up last week

  • Can you still wear it curly if you wanted to?

  • i do keratin treatments and i love them ..i'm a hairstylist and my mom's hair is like yours and i do those keratin treatments on her ..it makes her hair look and feel so awesome ...

  • Yeah i know what u mean i have the same hair texture it looks just like ur picture when i blow dry it! It sucks lol! Love ur videos!

  • can you do a video on how you do your hair? like what products you use/what you wash it with etc?

  • I am glad you showed this as I have been waiting to get this done myself as I have pretty much the same hair except way longer and don't have time with work and uni to do much with it as it takes a good hour + with a ghd if I can even go that long without my arms dying. When I get my hair cut next week I pricing the blowdry one vs the full one. Probably just go the blow dry first and see how it goes and then do the long term one.

  • It looks really great!!! (:

  • Your hair looks beautiful after the treament

  • Your hair doesn't look greasy at all, you're lucky. My hair looks shiny after day 1 of washing lol. Your hair does look really dry though

  • that's so awesome, i've done that like 2 years ago in asia, it helped you really well

  • YOUR HAIR LOOKS THE BEST IT HAS EVER BEEN.

  • they do this kinda stuff in my country=) n ur hair will be straight as it ever can be

  • You look so much like the girl that plays Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter!

  • hmm, I have also heard that a lot of these keratin treatments use massive amounts of toxic formaldehyde, even if they claim otherwise. I would be very, very careful in taking this kind of chemicals in my scalp. so funny, those of us with natural straight hair like that want curls, and girls with curls want the straight hair :)

  • @MyApplebite That may be, but when YOU girls think of having curly hair, you mean lush bouncy curls... WE don't have that... WE have frizz-balls that we can't walk out of the house with without looking as if we don't care about our appearance, even if we've already spent over an hour taming it with heat only for it to look as if we've just got up and simply brushed it.

  • hmm, I have also heard that a lot of these keratin treatments use massive amounts of toxic formaldehyde, even if they claim otherwise. I would be very, very careful in taking this kind of chemicals in my scalp.

  • your hair looks sooo good like that!

I was thinking about getting a perm and i have really long hair like half way down my back but then they said it would have taken like 4 to 5 hours and i looked at some of the after pictures and i was like um no thanks haha i really want like big waves wavy hair but i think perms are more like wet looking small waves D:

could you do a video on perms? i still dont understand all the differences haha

  • It looks great! but I wonder, isn´t such treatment super expensive?

  • ohhh my goddddd, if someone ever flat ironed my hair that much i think i would kill them ):< i'd be so mad lol cause of all the damage

  • @ilovefobx0 it's only 'pushing' the product into the hair... it needs that much heat to seal the keratin into the hair shaft. Otherwise the treatment will not last at all! There's so much goopy thick product (keratin) on the hair that it doesn't actually reach or touch the hair strand enough to damage it... if you had all that sticky product on your hair during the treatment you'd understand.

  • i know a girl in my school who has worse hair 'cause it's longer. she has it chemically straightend. it goes straight, but it goes big n straight and looks funny!

  • Your hair looks really beautiful but if you ever wanna go natural, or just keep the blown-straight style longer you should try Perfect Curls conditioners by Ouidad. It makes curly, frizzy hair look amazing or blown-straight hold its style. I have straight hair but I know people who use it and it is amazing.

  • Congratz Leesha, your hair looks so pretty :)

  • hi, i have the same probelm with mmy hair i use to dying my hair every months, blonde but i when to the salon to do my hair in ligh brown and i love the color but is all damages now is breask so easy plus all frizzi i hate my hair i buy some treatment and still not good my hair is natural curly, but i stray cuz is not even nice anymore, i wish if you could help me and gime so tick for my hair, i will apreciate, thank you

  • I have difficult, curly hair myself, but it only got easier to manage when I learned how to care for it properly. I only wash my hair about bi weekly now and co wash in between. I am looking for a good low-poo to use weekly instead of bi weekly sulphate washes. I think the key to having healthy hair is to learn how to care for it (moisturising and protein).

Leesha, I like this look but also liked your curls... I am sad to see them go and to watch so much damage getting done.

  • great review!

  • :D I am in a hair school in Canada , and a guy came in and showed us this ! We all got to help one of our classmates get it done , it's sooo neat !

  • I discovered Keratin here in South Korea; I'd never even heard of it when I lived in the states and Canada, but here it's soooo popular. And with good reason: THE SHIT IS AMAZING. I use Keratin EVERYTHING now, from keratin leave in conditioner to keratin hairspray and gel. My hair is just like yours but extremely long, and a year ago a bit more damaged. Now, I don't even really have to style it anymore, I'll just let it air dry and it's soft and flow-y. amazing. Def want this treatment ASAP.

  • wow what a difference!!!

  • your hair looks great just wondering how much the treatment cost?

  • i love it! It looks very pretty and the haircolor is gorrrgeeeeous (even if it looks lighter)

  • Wow it DOES look more blonde. If you look back at the beginning of the video it looks like a darker blonde, and then fast forward to the end of the video, you can see it went a shade or two lighter..maybe just because it was washed and combed through so much...but yeah, looks more blonde!

  • so.. what was the giveaway..?? lol

  • holy crap you look amazing!!(:

  • It was nice before :) But its nicer now :)

  • Is this like a straight perm?

  • @woooodia pretty much, but its actually GOOD for your hair..

  • wow...FYI there was a HUge recall on Global Keratin, it's even illegal in Canada.Ministry of Health closing salons who does this treatment, so many woman lost 40% of their hair because of this blowout. Be careful. Love

  • @MARINAPIZDEC im thinking you may mean brazillian blowout

  • @xsparkage shes right....they did a recall in ireland in august and september of this year for Global Keratin Kera Straight products.....i dont know if they recalled in the US as well though.....might me something worth checking into?

  • @xsparkage though alot of them are brazillian blow outs that shes talking about there are some keratin treatments that in general....the smell you said that made your eyes water is often formaldehyde which you may know preserves organs or other things in labs. In the US they are doing many studies to make sure its safe but so far they found they havent had very good news

  • @lew1580 The Global Keratin (same brand) that I had done (in Australia though) was formaldehyde-free. GK is nowadays, as are many other keratin brands.

  • @itsageoffrushthing I understand this but there has been the recalls and many FDA warnings because these products do say formaldehyde-free but they aren't always. If you were to do research you would find this information easily. Just letting you know.

  • @xsparkage No girls;) tipe in Global Keratin recall in Google and you'll see...

  • @MARINAPIZDEC

Well, that would certainly cut styling and drying time down.

  • @MARINAPIZDEC yes you are thinking about the brazillian blowout
