To everybody saying 'ooh aah save the worm' consider this: It's a parasite. An extremely specialized parasite. It does nothing for the small water creatures the larvae live in, and it does nothing for the people it torments. Parasitism such as this leads to devolution to the point where an organism is nothing more than an extension to it's life cycle. Save the worm my ass. Anybody who thinks I'm wrong can host the parasite to sustain it's existence.

@Rundstedt19 I think you may be confused; I have not completely watched the video, but at a glance, I believe they are calling for an eradication of the DISEASE, not the parasite.

Furthermore, the word "parasite", is not meant to vilify. It is a scientific term used to classify specific species and their members, I.E: parasites are any organisms in which, their only means of survival, are at the expense of a host. That is all.
