i live in Texas and am in 8th grade, and I HATE the school system here, especially history. I'm not a conservative, like most of the people here. I hate how the schools are doing this and leaving out some really important historic events.
I thought Jefferson was the conservatives/libertarians' icon. Never made sense to me, but they say it all the time. Jefferson, Reagan, and Jesus are their mascots, but any of the three would be drummed out of the conservative movement today.

In the United Kingdom, when we teach history we try to enact it as impartial as possible. When we teach Nazi Germany we can teach all the bad things which of course villianises the Nazis but at the same time we offer and alternative from the good things the Nazis did, and even quote historians in textbooks who have an alterate view, and these people can be right or left wing, communists or extremists. In the United Kingdom, when we teach history we try to enact it as impartial as possible. When we teach Nazi Germany we can teach all the bad things which of course villianises the Nazis but at the same time we offer and alternative from the good things the Nazis did, and even quote historians in textbooks who have an alterate view, and these people can be right or left wing, communists or extremists. This is no less a theory than the theory of gravity, or relativity are, and yet i assume you dont reject those, because they are not inconvenient to your fundamental beliefs. The "God breathed life into man" story from Genesis is just an old myth, no different from any other cultures' creation stories.
Religious fundamentalists are what's wrong with the USA.

@nongratis1 that question you use is one of the easiest ones to answer... if you were open minded and had actually read Darwin, Dawkins, etc... maybe.... there is not worst blind man than that one that does not want to see.... if I am wrong let God send me a hard attaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhhhr!!! oh!

What source informs you as to what is right or wrong? What gives you the right to say your actions are more "moral" than those of less conservative people? If you say it's the Bible, then congratulations - you are getting your morality from a messianic propaganda document. Clap clap.
